We have a political party which is tearing itself apart in an attempt to demonise Jews (Zionists), we have MPs voted in on a ‘Gaza ticket’ and we have our national broadcaster enmeshed in antisemitism claims which started on Oct 7. It’s very difficult to look at this and say Palestinianism, which is almost totally divorced from the actual situation, hasn’t turned parts of our society demented.

This is the guy Vance reportedly thinks he can reason with in Iran, according to reporting last week. Now I understand why the war went the way it did.
🚨 Mohsen Rezaei, the former IRGC commander, is taking a victory lap, claiming Iran handed Trump military setbacks and a “political defeat in Washington.” He also warns that anyone confronting Iran will pay “from the battlefield to their own doorstep.” Tehran is framing Trump’s domestic political losses as an Iranian victory—and using that narrative to threaten its adversaries.

It just struck me that the people who think it's unreasonable to call little old ladies demonstrating for Palestine Action 'terrorists' are the very same people who call me, a little old shul-going lady, 'baby killer'.

🔴ELIMINATED: 6 operatives from terrorist organizations in Gaza during 3 separate strikes earlier this week.
Recently, the terrorists advanced terrorist plots against Israeli civilians & IDF soldiers and worked to restore the capabilities of Hamas, the Army of Islam & Islamic Jihad, while systematically violating the ceasefire.
The terrorists were eliminated in order to remove the threat they posed.

Jewish Democrats are hopeful today that with U.S. funding to Israel ending and AIPAC politically diminished and no longer funding candidates, the hatred will stop.
Here in Canada we have no AIPAC equivalent, and our funding to Israel is insignificant.
The hatred is worse.

Vance continues to sound like a junior analyst at the Quincy Institute, framing appeasement of the Islamic Republic as America First and making sure to include Israel as part of the reason why Republicans lost so badly.
The war had one path to being a political win: the U.S. and Israel going all in on supporting the Iranian people to end the regime. Vance spent months pushing to halt military action and restrain Israel in favor of negotiating with that same regime. So the Islamic Republic is still standing, and the people who argued for leaving it standing now want to run on the outcome and set Iran policy going forward.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

The Supreme Court is currently hearing an appeal by the outlawed terrorist organisation Palestine Action against its proscription.
The group was proscribed last year after we and others called for a ban and we submitted a dossier of evidence to the Home Secretary regarding its impact on the Jewish community.
The group encourages criminal activity and violence against Jewish communal, Israeli and UK military targets. Its activists have severely injured a police officer, sabotaged British military hardware, intimidated British Jews, vandalised Jewish businesses and the premises of major UK companies and more.
In court, Palestine Action’s lawyers have been making their case, and we are monitoring the proceedings closely.
Outside the court, supporters of the terror group have been arrested, as others were in a similar protest elsewhere in the capital over the weekend.
The proscription of Palestine Action is one of the few measures the Government has actually taken in the fight against the worst antisemitism we are seeing in our lifetimes. If the Supreme Court rolls back even this limited measure, the British state will have extremely little to show for itself after over three years of unprecedented levels of violent Jew-hate and unabashed extremism in this country.

Well done Democrats! 👏 You must be proud to receive support from the world’s largest sponsor of global terrorism, who is responsible for the slaughter of more Muslims than any other entity today, who slaughters LGBT and rapes women as a method of punishment, who orders the butchering of more than 40k Iranians for the “crime” of protesting. These are your values DSA — and Americans? This will be your future, and your legacy should you continue down this path.

Her employer, the BBC, had told her not to mention that it was a BBC film. The BBC hadn’t paid for her flight or her hotel. And while she had been in the hospital months earlier, the BBC had eliminated her job.
