I’m sick and tired of watching people turn the words Zion and Zionism into something dirty, hateful, and poisonous.
Out of ignorance, prejudice, and a refusal to understand, they take everything beautiful about our history, our identity, and our spiritual heritage and twist it into something ugly.
But their poison is theirs to drink. I refuse to drink it.
To me, Zion is a spiritual compass, a landmark, a place of orientation. Like Abraham’s tent, open to the four winds of heaven, welcoming travellers from every direction to discover an all-encompassing God.
Zion represents something sacred, something ancient, something far greater than the hatred people attach to its name.
כי מציון תצא תורה — For from Zion shall go forth the Torah.
That is the Zion I know. That is the Zion I love. And that is what Zionism means to me as a Jew and as a human being.
You can twist the word. You can poison its meaning. But you will never take its beauty away from me.
Your hatred is not mine. Your poison is not mine. And I will not drink it.
I wrote this song to remind the world what Zion means to me.

Israeli superstar Omer Adam brought two Hamas captivity survivors , Bar Kuperstein and Eliya Cohen, onstage in front of thousands of cheering fans.
Bar survived 738 days in Hamas captivity. Eliya survived 505 days.
Two young Israelis who were kidnapped by Hamas from on October 7, held hostage in Gaza, and finally brought home.
And there they were, in the heart of New York, wrapped in the Israeli flag, singing, embracing and celebrating life.
At a time when American politics is consumed by accusations against Israel, when candidates are demanding an end to military aid and the Muslim Brotherhood has become a flashpoint in the political debate, this moment tells a story that should never be forgotten.
Behind every political slogan are real people. Real families. Real suffering.
These two men survived Hamas. And now they are standing before thousands, singing with pride.
You can argue about Israel all you want. But you cannot erase October 7. You cannot erase what Hamas did to these men.
And you cannot erase the spirit of a people who refuse to be broken.

Jews in America are quickly finding out that what I wrote following the Canadian elections in April 2025 is sadly the norm as well:
“The reality is that Jewish issues, and more or less the importance of antisemitism, is proving to be a tangential to non-issue at best, to a negative impact issue for a party, at worst. There is a real possibility that we are going to see just how powerless the Jewish diaspora is in many liberal democracies.
The sad truth is that the demographics are not there. Jews are a minuscule percentage of the population in every country where we reside and hold very little power in deciding elections outside of our local municipalities anymore, even in the US. The issues that concern us, chiefly antisemitism, the relationship to Israel, and so on, do not move the needle on elections.
Jewish leadership needs to start recognizing that the integration of Jewish issues into the fabric of politics is not working. Unless and until we recognize that we are too small a community everywhere to be divided anywhere, we will become even less relevant.
To that end, I believe that the diaspora is facing a crisis unlike any faced since the end of World War II. Liberal democracies have moved away from a society that champions a strict set of morals, for example, standing up to antisemitism irrespective of political leaning, to one that champions election victories over all else. Number one target in that? Jews.”

🇮🇱 An Israeli soldier who lost his leg fighting in Gaza took part in yesterday’s New York City Marathon. His name is Boris Shtonda, and his story is extraordinary.
Boris served in Israel’s elite Duvdevan unit. In November 2023, he was severely wounded in Gaza and lost his right leg.
Boris underwent 19 surgeries, spent months in rehabilitation, and had to learn to walk all over again.
And yesterday, there he was, running through the streets of New York on a prosthetic leg.
Just weeks earlier, Boris had completed the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii.
Think about that. From fighting for his life in a hospital to competing in some of the toughest endurance events in the world.

Avi Shlaim, an Oxford professor, says Israel “made it impossible” for Jews to keep living in Baghdad. My mother’s family is from Baghdad. Here is what he left out:
Jewish life under Arab rule was never equal. For centuries Jews lived as dhimmis, a “protected” minority, and the protection came with rules:
• A Jew could not testify against a Muslim in court.
• A synagogue could not stand taller than a mosque.
• Jews could not ride horses or carry weapons.
• Jews paid a special tax for the right to exist.
• Jews wore identifying marks on their clothes, a thousand years before the Nazis.
Then in June 1941 a mob in Baghdad killed almost 200 Jews in two days. My grandmother hid in the back of a café while a man shot a mother’s seven children in front of her. Israel did not exist yet.
In 1948 Iraq made Zionism a crime punishable by death. In 1950 it let Jews leave only if they gave up their citizenship. In 1951 it froze their bank accounts and took their homes. My grandparents arrived in Israel that year with nothing. In 1969 it hanged nine Jews in a public square and invited crowds to celebrate.
None of that was Israel. That was Iraq, doing it to its own citizens.
Shlaim knows all of this. He is one voice in a bigger project, and the project has a purpose. If you can convince people that Jews lived happily in Arab lands until Zionism, then 850,000 Jewish refugees stop being refugees. They become people who left for no reason. The Arab governments that robbed and expelled them get a clean record. And Israel, a country where most Jews come from the Middle East, can be sold as a European colony that has no business existing there. Even though ALL JEWS are indigenous to this land, no matter where in the diaspora we lived.
That is the point of the trend. Erase the Mizrahi story and there is only one refugee story left in the region, and only one side with a grievance.
It takes a Jew with an Oxford title to make that erasure respectable. There is a market for it, and he is not the only one selling.

Don’t mistake Muslim support for a candidate as something similar to what AIPAC does.
There is a difference between Jewish influence in America and why Muslims seek influence in America.
Jewish influence is defensive.
Jewish influence in America is not about taking over, imposing Jewish law, or replacing the system.
It’s about making sure Israel stays strong enough to survive in a region where every neighbor has tried to annihilate it.
Yes, there are Jewish billionaires funding leftist garbage in America, but those people aren’t pushing for Israel or even for Jewish continuity. They’re pushing the same globalist nonsense as other elites.
Don’t confuse George Soros with Israel. Soros doesn’t care about Israel’s survival. He doesn’t even care about America’s. Jewish leftists and Jewish Zionists are not the same thing.
Muslim influence is offensive:
In Europe and America, Muslim activism is about replacing the system that built the West with sharia or sharia-inspired governance. When Muslims gain influence, they don’t argue for defense, they argue for offense.
Israel is not, in this context, a foreign country. Israel represents the very values Tucker and his friends claim to want to preserve.
When you attack Israel, you’re not attacking some random Middle Eastern state. You’re attacking the symbol and the reality of Jewish survival, the survival of the very moral framework you claim to defend in the West.
The civilizational war today has collapsed into a single choice. Whether you like it or not, you either stand with Israel or you stand with Islam. There is no middle ground.
Neutrality doesn’t exist, because Islam doesn’t allow neutrality. Its worldview divides the world into two camps: dar al-Islam (the house of Islam) and dar al-harb (the house of war). If you’re not supporting Islam’s expansion, you’re its enemy.
Standing against Israel weakens the only state in the Middle East that shares the West’s basic values of sovereignty, democracy, and human rights. And weakening Israel automatically empowers Islam.
Whether they realize it or not, the far right’s “neutral” position becomes functionally pro-Islam.
You can’t oppose both because the battlefield has already been drawn: support Israel, or watch Islam advance.
