1/ When I was young everyone told me I must be pragmatic and do the right thing for the family. And when they weren’t telling me, peer pressure filled the gap. In those days it meant becoming a doctor or engineer or a chartered accountant. By the time I got to college, they added

It was not your fault. But whose is it, really? Every heart wrestles with two hidden enemies: subtle manipulation and loud rebellion. Both resist truth and shape our choices. Only one path leads us back. Which voice will you follow? 👉 anchorfoundations.org/2025/0…

Interesting tidbit: The Sri Lankan - Rumesh Pathirage used to be a fast bowler before moving on to the javelin.
Brett Lee was a javelin thrower in his early days before becoming a fast bowler.
Folks at @JioHotstar can you please ensure whoever is managing Wimbledon transmission is making sure centre court matches are put up? Swiatek was missed yesterday. Even today centre court isn’t on. Let’s be on top of things! #Wimbledon

Invest 30% of your time discussing the past, and 70% on the future
In our book, #HeadStart, Vivek and I had the privilege of featuring @JoyAndLife , who shares a transformative perspective on making performance appraisal conversations truly impactful. Here’s his 30:70 rule:
"Any feedback you have, soft or hard, shouldn’t wait for appraisal time but be given promptly. Appraisal time is for reviewing, consolidating, and synthesizing all feedback of the year, and for setting expectations for the coming year. In a performance appraisal conversation, invest 30 per cent of your time discussing the past and 70 per cent on the future. Managers must not forget that a performance appraisal includes the word ‘praisal.’ Ensure that you’re adding to the self-esteem and growth of the individual.”
Gurprriet’s advice is a powerful reminder for both managers and employees:
- For managers, it’s a call to turn appraisals into opportunities to inspire and guide.
- For employees, it’s a prompt to approach these conversations with a growth mindset, ready to chart the next steps in their career.

Absolutely loved the Camden series! Clement is an iconic character. And love how you tied it all together in the last book. Finished all of them in a row. Thank you @keithapearson

Good solid fiction.
Credit where it’s due, while the start of my trip with @airindia wasn’t the best. The new cabins are comparable to best in class. Food is superior. Better than Emirates any day. And exceptional service. Very well done!

In 2004 after a horrible Bombay NYC experience. I stopped flying @airindia .. after their recent campaign promising new aircraft on the Bombay London route and trusting @TataCompanies I decided to trust them. Foolish blunder. Old aircraft. Defective seat. #Fail
I’m given my boarding pass and when I look at it I realise the 5.15 am flight is delayed to 7.30. Counter staff didn’t even tell me. No sms. No email. I could’ve slept some more! But does @airindia care? @TataCompanies #Fail #CustomerExperience
At checkin, I’m informed my seat has technical issues. So much for “new” aircraft on the Bombay London route! @airindia .. blatant lies on all your advertising! #Fail #CustomerExperience
Time was, one hated Oct 2 because of the dry day. Now one is just thankful that it’s a mid-week break!
I’m using this one. Very fresh. Perfect for warm summer wear.
