October is national OCD awareness month! I think it’s important to remove the stigma of OCD being about cleanliness. OCD is so much more and comes in so many shapes and sizes. Rumination, moral, taboo, contamination,harm. OCD is intrusive thoughts that feel extremely real. They’re real to us and it’s important to take a second and understand. 1 in 40 will experience OCD in their lifetime. We’re not crazy, we’re stuck in our own mind at times but genuinely coming to terms with my diagnosis and seeking help has been so eye opening. Don’t be afraid to speak about it. I see you🩶
