Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales has announced changes to the defensive coaching staff, parting ways with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and defensive passing game coordinator Jonathan Cooley.
Defensive line coach Todd Wash has been named interim defensive coordinator and will call the defensive plays.
Wash originally joined Carolina’s staff in 2023 and has 31 years of coaching experience, including 20 in the NFL. He spent five seasons (2016-20) serving as the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, including in 2017 when the team had the second-ranked defense in the league and advanced to the AFC Championship Game.
Outside linebackers coach/run game specialist AC Carter’s responsibilities will expand to include coaching the defensive line. Secondary coach Renaldo Hill will continue to oversee the defensive backs.

UCLA star quarterback Nico Iamaleava has indicated to the Bruins that he plans to return to UCLA next season instead of leaving for the NFL, his agent @RudyCaamano of @AiC_Athletes tells @CBSSports.
Before sustaining a torn ACL earlier this month, he’d been emerging as a possibility to go in the first three rounds of next year’s NFL draft. However, now currently planning to return to college for another season.

White players on a North Carolina high school boys soccer team were caught on video cheering a RACIAL SLUR on the team bus after losing to a rival school whose student body is Black and Hispanic and now their entire season has been CANCELED.

"Attention everybody!" a white player shouts at the front of the East Davidson High School bus after losing to Thomasville High. "Make noise if you hate N-words!"
White teens across the bus immediately erupt into loud cheers and laughter while two boys in the front seat fist-bump on camera.
Davidson County Schools canceled the rest of the team's season effective immediately.
