Interesting how I'm seeing the criticisms of Donald Trump from Labour politicians are getting remembered all of a sudden. So it's only right to remind everyone about Boris Johnson's 2015 comments...

Robert Gros made £27m selling useless gowns via the VIP PPE Lane, of course he never paid back a penny, he bought 2 mansions instead.
RT and see if we can make him as famous as Michelle Mone.

8/ Worth pointing (again🥱) that *ALL* the variables in these charts are *official statistics*. Its either pay or inflation from the @ONS (comparables), NHS pay & waiting list data from @NHSEngland
Average pay is chosen as that is what's used by GOVERNMENT. And MOST commentators

6/ There's a small difference (circled) in "all workers all sectors" (an @ONS dataset) during the initial phase of COVID as I have chosen to average pay each month over the prior 12 month period (to better match the @NHSDigital Earnings Estimates methodology) = fairer comparison

2/ You'll notice when ministers are in the media, they often talk about how hard "your viewers/listeners" have been hit by inflation. But what we need to do is separate fact from fiction (aka LIES), it was 👇excellent @jburnmurdoch @FT chart that really showed this well last year

3/ But its not just government ministers gaslighting NHS workers that they have no right for their pay to keep up (like everyone else's), it was also so-called "independent" DDRB👇
Apparently doctors & dentists should not be protected when "its not taking place in other groups"
Kamal Patel retweeted
4/ It was this blatant gaslighting that we are the same (or even better than other groups), not only from government but also from the allegedly "independent" DDRB, that inspired me on the back of the excellent @FT work to develop this pay erosion model based on official stats

In 1968 Finland banned for profit Education, the few private schools that exist in Finland have to reinvest any profit they make or pay it back to parents.
It has been in the Top 3 in Education for the last 20 years.
There should be no profit in Education or Healthcare.

If you’re an off duty junior doc who comes across paramedics tending to a trauma patient, here’s a list of 6 things to avoid…
1. Not introducing yourself.
2. Wandering out into the road without any PPE on.
3. Refusing to leave when your help is kindly declined.
