I picked up a rat today. 😩
We could put a dent in our rodent problem if we deployed a new strategy for our public trash and recycling cans. What we have now looks aesthetically pleasing, but they lack the functionality we need to stop rodents and illegal dumping.

💯 On Monday, a child was struck in a crosswalk in Ward 6 by a driver swerving around a car at 🚦, leaving her with broken toes & tire marks on her leg. He was simply issued a ticket, even with his 80+ speeding tickets/$18K+ in fines he owes. He shouldn’t be driving in DC. 1/2

“Even when children seek care from a health care provider for their diarrhoea, as most do, they often do not receive oral rehydration salts, which costs only a few cents and has been recommended by the World Health Organization for decades.” #GlobalHealth @gavi
Each year, more than half a million children die from diarrhoeal diseases.
Oral rehydration salts are a simple, cheap, and effective way of combatting the deadly dehydration these diseases cause while helping to curb antibiotic use: bit.ly/3SU71UD

Dear @Cigna my patient who is insured by you has been critically ill in the ICU for days and we have been on the phone for hours to get approval for lifesaving therapies to no avail. This is incredibly unethical and it is frustrating that you can get away with such behavior.
