The Forbes Border Post in Mutare handles 55% of all strategic cargo moving through the Port of Beiraโ€ฆ And, currently, 1100 trucks pass through the border every day. President @edmnangagwaโ€™s govt is already UPGRADING the Forbes Border Post to a World Class border postโ€ฆ This is Zimbabweโ€™s gateway to the Indian Ocean, just 300 km away from the City of Beira in Mozambique. Is he wanted for any crime? Was he exiled by the govt or he voluntarily left the country? Was his passport cancelled?? Folks should stop creating fictionโ€ฆ President @edmnangagwa has lots of critics living in Zimbabwe freelyโ€ฆ no Zimbabwean is banned from entering Zimbabwe, NOT EVEN ONEโ€ฆ ED may not even know about his existenceโ€ฆ. He doesnโ€™t watch his social media content โ€ฆ.
WATCH | Apostle Chiwenga, who is known for his outspoken criticism of the Zimbabwean government, has appealed to the authorities to give him just one week to visit the graves of his late wife and parents before facing any punishment for his previous remarks against the government.

We need to teach Zimbabweans that you donโ€™t have to be in govt to go another country and do your business. Zimbabwe & Iran have good diplomatic relationsโ€ฆ Zimbabweans do not need Visas to visit Iranโ€ฆ. @TembaMliswa is clearly saying he is there for business, why do you governmentalise the trip? Even if he was part of a govt delegation, he is free to do so as a Zimbabwean citizenโ€ฆ donโ€™t u see other presidents & ministers travelling with private citizens who are in business? Siyai politics dzemutonono vana @MviringiHosia , start thinking like people who went to school โ€ฆ.
Temba Mliswa's trying hard to fill Wicknell Chivhayo's shoes to become Presidential runner & unofficial envoy. In what capacity does @TembaMliswa lead a govt delegation? What is he sourcing from Iran? Weapons? What commodities is he supplying? Gold? It shall end in tears

Zimbabweans, justifiably so, complain about the slow pace of some infrastructure projectsโ€ฆ But the one thing many people donโ€™t understand is that MONEY IS THE CONSTRAINT. The govt relies on YOUR TAXES, & combined, Zimbos contributed about $7.2 billion in 2025. Compare that with Japanese who paid more than $500 billion. President @edmnangagwa is doing EXTREMELY WELL with the little money available. The cake is just very small, we need to grow the economy so that more people can pay taxes & bigger amounts! Of the $7.2 billion received, more than 60% goes to salariesโ€ฆ in the end, a small percentage is channelled into infrastructure projects. The bottom line is: at this point, the govt of Zimbabwe simply has no capacity to fund large scale infrastructure projects effectively. They are doing their best, but the pace will be quite slow. This is why the coming of @CBZHoldings to fund infrastructure projects is actually a GAME CHANGER. Because of sanctions, & arrears, Zimbabwe cannot access cheap loans to fund infrastructure projectsโ€ฆ you should all appreciate EDโ€™s efforts, and the great work being done by folks at @TreasuryZW in mobilising resources for infrastructure projects!

Former Vice-President Joice Mujuru was presented by her loyalistsโ€”and even some opposition figuresโ€”as the successor to the late President Robert Mugabe. Much of the noise around her succession was heard between 2009 and 2014, particularly on social media. I have learned one thing about politics: never mistake the voices of those who do not make decisions in ZANU-PF for the position of the party. Social media may generate political noise, but it carries little weight in ZANU-PFโ€™s decision-making.

China supports #Zimbabwe in commemorating the #AntiSanctionsDay. Some Western countriesโ€™ decades-long illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe seriously violate its national sovereignty, hurt Zimbabwean peopleโ€™s right to development and undermine international fairness and justice. Leadership in Action: Advancing Zimbabweโ€™s Vision 2030 and Global Standing Under the stewardship of His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of ZANU-PF, Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa, the Second Republic continues to drive a transformative agenda focused on economic independence, infrastructure modernization, and national empowerment. 1. Economic Growth and Strategic Milestones Macroeconomic Stability: Prudent fiscal and monetary policies implemented by the ZANU-PF-led Government have yielded tangible results, with annual local currency inflation reaching historic single-digit levels. Vision 2030 Momentum: Grounded in the philosophy that "political independence is incomplete without economic independence," the Second Republic is steadfastly advancing toward an Upper Middle-Income Society. Diplomatic Triumphs: Zimbabwe recently reinforced its continental leadership by successfully hosting the 25th COMESA Heads of State Summit at the New Parliament Building in Mt Hampden, where President Mnangagwa assumed the Chairmanship of COMESA for 2026/2027 to champion regional industrialization and a $1 trillion market integration. 2. Coordinated National Leadership International Engagement: His Excellency President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa represents Zimbabweโ€™s interests abroad, including attending major international platforms such as the Africa summit in Russia. Global Outreach: Speaker of Parliament and ZANU-PF Secretary-General, Cde. J.N. Mudenda, continues vital diplomatic and legislative engagements in London as directed by the President to strengthen international relations. Seamless Domestic Continuity: Back home, the two Vice Presidents, General (Rtd) Dr. Constantino Chiwenga and (Rtd) Dr Kembo Mohadi, alongside the Party and Government leadership, maintain total peace, order, and steady administrative progress. True leadership is about coordinated vision, discipline, and unity of purposeโ€”ensuring that whether at home or representing the nation on the world stage, Zimbabwe moves forward under the banner: โ€œNyika inovakwa nevene vayo / Ilizwe lakhiwa ngabanikazi baloโ€. #Zimbabwe #MyZimbabwe2030 #Vision2030InAction #EDWorks @edmnangagwa @DeptCommsZW @munyamachacha @KMutisi @ChinamasaPA @ZANUPF_Official

Folks in @TreasuryZW Zim, led by @MthuliNcube01, @GGuvamatanga, & David Mnangagwa are serious about funding infrastructure development. The Minister of Economic Development, Dr Tagwirei, understands the importance of having an efficient transport network. Governments do not create jobs, INVESTORS doโ€ฆ. Whether local or foreign, itโ€™s INVESTMENT that leads to job creationโ€ฆ When you have a FOCUSED leader like President @edmnangagwa, investors FEEL COMFORTABLE to invest in the countryโ€ฆ President Ruto wouldnโ€™t have referred the Investor to President Mnangagwa if he didnโ€™t have confidence in the gentlemanโ€™s leadership!

Itโ€™s a MASSIVE vote of Confidence in President @edmnangagwaโ€™s govt, and a great head start for the newly appointed Minister of Economic Development & Investment Promotion, Dr Tagwirei. Infrastructure projects create thousands of direct & indirect jobs for Zimbabweansโ€ฆ they also boost businesses in the construction value chainโ€ฆ Zimbabwe has an infrastructure deficit, a barrier to accelerated growthโ€ฆ For example, the Bulawayo - Victoria Falls highway is a vital economic corridor but itโ€™s in a state of disrepairโ€ฆ Fixing that road will unlock lots of economic opportunities! CBZ, through an infrastructure bond, has stepped up to fund road construction in Zimbabweโ€ฆ this is coming after Stanbic Bank agreed to fund the Chirundu Border Post upgradeโ€ฆ. We are entering a new era where local banks are directly involved in funding public infrastructure projects, something that will relieve pressure on the fiscus and speed up the completion of these projects. Zimbabwean banks can grow bigger & be able to provide much-needed funding to local businesses & for infrastructure projects IF the SAVING CULTURE is brought back! The @ReserveBankZIM & @TreasuryZW need to work together on finding ways to bring money from Pillows to Bank Vaultsโ€ฆ Some Zimbabweans prefer taking their money to banks in South Africa, depriving local banks of Deposit Funding. If more people use banks, it means the banks will have more capacity to finance cars, houses, business loans, & even public infrastructure! Zimbabwe is still under sanctions, itโ€™s wiser to develop local financing capabilities instead of waiting for foreign lenders!

The so-called succession issue is dominating social media, yet it seems far removed from the reality on the ground especially among those who matter. Having a preferred candidate in politics, the church, an organisation, football or the community is normal. That is human nature. The trouble begins when a handful of social media likes are turned into assumptions and hearsay. Before I continue, let me ask: who still remembers the late Cde Geza and self-proclaimed successionist Mawarire making claims about our beloved Presidentโ€™s health makuhwa enhema without a single shred of evidence? They were pushing cheap propaganda. Today, the same narrative is resurfacing as we approach November, a significant month in Zimbabweโ€™s political calendar because it was when our former President resigned. The reality is that President ED Mnangagwa @edmnangagwa constitutionally holds office. The party has endorsed him as its candidate for 2030, and that decision should be respected as part of the democratic process. To those hoping that the events of 2017 will repeat themselves: Mukai mubike doro, muti midzimu yakurashayi. Those events will never happen again.

Today, our Regional Economic Community sends one message to the world: we seek the complete and unconditional lifting of sanctions on our sister nation, the Republic of Zimbabwe. This yearโ€™s commemoration is especially important as we are increasingly aware of the global geopolitical and economic challenges of recent years and their significant effects on our national and regional economies.
