I’m honored to earn the support of retired Police Chief Dave Snowden & as the only candidate endorsed by public safety. I worked with Chief since 1999 in Costa Mesa first as a Planning Commissioner & again as he served as my Public Safety Policy Advisor. We work to keep you safe.

UPDATE: I have been briefed by OCFA that the evacuation area has been reduced and 65 percent of evacuees will be able to return home imminently. I encourage everyone to follow the updated guidance and avoid the updated evacuation zone. While there remains an immediate potential risk in that updated zone, the work of the OC Fire Authority is moving in the right direction. I am grateful for the tireless efforts of the OC Fire Authority, local police, and emergency response professionals to mitigate this crisis and keep our community safe.
Great work @OCFireAuthority @ochealth @OCSheriff @Cal_OES
and all the agencies and volunteers involved. Great team work.

I’m happy to share more encouraging news tonight: the evacuation zone has now been reduced to only the immediate area surrounding the facility.
On this Memorial Day, please take a moment to think about the brave men and women in our military who sacrificed their lives and whose families lost them for love of our country. I’m grateful to those who stand up for our freedom.
Freedom isn’t free.

Delighted to report that #SB936, my legislation to help prevent the abuse of nitrous oxide, passed the Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee today! Much thanks to OC Supervisor @KatrinaFoley and Humboldt County Supervisor Michelle Bushnell for joining me to advocate for the bill.
Off to Sac to testify on SB936
prohibiting sale of nitrous oxide canisters larger than 8 grams, with exceptions for legitimate uses. Intended to prevent widespread use as a recreational drug that causes paralysis, neurological disorder, psychosis, and increased car accidents.✈️
