Israeli-engineered starvation intensifies in Gaza amid deafening silence.
In October alone, @WFP announced cutting aid to 500,000 Palestinians in Gaza and the Israeli occupation blocked the entry of commercial goods.
The world can no longer feign ignorance. A new famine is looming over Gaza!
"the United Nations, for the safety of the delegates and the organization itself, should no longer be situated in New York" 💯
“Do you understand who you are dealing with? This is America. Back up.”
A United Nations meeting was dramatically suspended yesterday after US ambassador Mike Waltz and Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla both ignored the chair’s plea for order in the chamber.
The problem started when Waltz blamed Cubans for the shocking US embargoes and blockades that are causing huge suffering to the people of the island.
Cuban representatives, astonished at the way Waltz blamed the victims for the crisis, in their eyes, stood up and objected, citing Rule 71, which allows listeners to raise a point of order.
Ambassador Waltz responded that the Cubans didn’t like the substance of his speech, so were not raising a point of order.
But when complaints continued, this caused Ambassador Waltz to lose his temper and shout “Back up! Back away. Do you understand what you’re dealing with? This is America.”
.
INTERNATIONAL TERRITORY
The rest of the United Nations was outraged by this attitude, as the UN building is legally international territory.
When Waltz refused to stop his tirade, Khalilur Rahman, chair of the 81st session, ordered that the meeting be instantly suspended. Waltz ignored him.
The meeting was then resumed, but footage of the argument created a huge storm on social media.
Some people in the US defended Waltz’s narrative, blaming Cubans for the suffering caused by the US embargos.
But much of the commentary from the rest of the world said that the United Nations, for the safety of the delegates and the organization itself, should no longer be situated in New York.
When New York was originally chosen as the site, the US pledged not to politicize US visa access to meetings—but has regularly broken the pledge, such as refusing to allow visas for Palestinians.

This story is not getting enough attention, even though it is a dark portent of the political repression on the horizon all around the NATO bloc.
Five activists who damaged an Elbit Systems site in Ulm, Germany, are facing harsher treatment than the Reichsbürger, a far-right group accused of attempting to overthrow the German state by force. The two trials are being held in the same building.
The Ulm5 are held in a maximum-security prison, marched into the courtroom in handcuffs, and seated behind bulletproof glass two meters tall. On day one, the judge switched off the microphones of the defence’s legal team, and has since repeatedly refused to hear their evidence and expert witnesses, while rejecting a motion for an independent stenographer to keep a record of the proceedings. The only written record of the trial is the judge's.
Meanwhile, the Ulm5 all remain in prolonged detention — with stints in solitary confinement. The prosecution is seeking to argue that the attack was antisemitic in nature, as Elbit Systems is a “Jewish-owned company” and therefore the “baby killers” graffiti drawn by the activists amounts to blood libel.
The case sets a chilling precedent for any actions taken against German militarism, and no doubt forms part of a wider arc of repression that now extends from Britain to Italy. That is why the activists’ call for international solidarity and support is so urgent.
In a show-trial riddled with procedural irregularities, Germany is seeking to make an example of five activists who organized against the genocide in Gaza. buff.ly/i46zuHe

A bag of flour in Gaza skyrocketed to 160 shekels after weeks of Israeli restrictions on commercial goods entering the Strip. When trucks were finally allowed to resume deliveries, the price dropped to 80 shekels. Today, it’s 72 shekels. Support our bakery: chuffed.org/project/help-us-…
But if the crossings close again, those prices could skyrocket overnight.
This is how precarious life in Gaza has become. Whether families can afford bread depends on decisions entirely outside their control. Hunger is being dictated by policy, not by a lack of food.
The Sameer Project needs your support to purchase flour while prices are lower, keep our bakery operating, and continue distributing FREE bread to hungry Palestinians.
Help us prepare for the next closure before families are priced out of bread again. Donate to our Food and Water Campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-…

Arabic ballot shortages reported in major Palestinian towns during Israeli election
——
The Adalah Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel issued an urgent demand to the Central Elections Committee today following reports of widespread shortages of Arabic-language ballots across multiple polling stations.
According to election observers and Palestinian voters, polling centers in key towns opened without basic voting materials in Arabic. Adalah dispatched a formal warning calling on election authorities to rectify the procedural failures immediately by distributing Arabic ballots and issuing explicit guidelines to local voting committees.
The legal center emphasized that withholding native-language ballots constitutes a direct infringement on the fundamental right of Palestinian citizens in Israel to participate equally in the electoral process.
With Arabic serving as the primary language for hundreds of thousands of eligible voters, legal advocates stressed that access to native-language ballot slips remains a necessary legal condition for maintaining electoral legitimacy.
The procedural barriers in Palestinian communities follow wider claims of voter suppression raised by opposition figures as polls opened across the country.

“I was released today after about four and a half months of detention.” Dr. Mazen al-Rantisi, a 71-year-old physician from Ramallah known across the West Bank as “the doctor of the poor,” speaks with a fresh wound on his face, inflicted half an hour before his release on October 25, 2026. He says a jailer dragged him to the release room handcuffed behind his back, shackled at the legs and blindfolded, then shoved and kicked him to the ground. Israeli occupation forces seized al-Rantisi from his home in the al-Tireh neighbourhood of Ramallah in June without announcing any reason, and his daughter says he lost around 25 kilograms in their prisons.
He describes Nafha prison as overrun with scabies, affecting nearly 80 percent of the Palestinian hostages held there, with almost no medicine given. When prisoners beg the passing nurse for treatment, he says, they are cursed at, mocked and ridiculed, and he was taunted for taking the chronic medication a court had ordered he receive. He calls on international human rights organisations to intervene, saying Palestinian hostages are beaten and punished at the whim of their jailers with no oversight or accountability.

Flour shortages in recent weeks, driven by Israeli restrictions on aid deliveries into Gaza and the World Food Programme’s decision to “drastically reduce lifesaving assistance” to the war-torn enclave, have led to growing bread queues, with bakeries on the brink of shutting down within the next hours.
“The Gaza Strip faces a renewed risk of famine,” Euro-Med Monitor said.

Israel has murdered a who's who of frontline journalists exposing its crimes in southern Lebanon, so I have little doubt it destroyed Radwan Mortada's family home as revenge for his blockbuster investigative documentary on the pager attacks
His home was several km behind the Israeli-imposed yellow line, so the occupying soldiers went out of their way to blow it up
The photos in @wyattreed13's report illustrate what a devastating loss this is
Earlier this year, Israel was destroying 1000 homes a day in southern Lebanon
The Israeli army targeted prominent Lebanese journalist, @radwanmortada, pillaging and demolishing his hand built family home, located outside the “buffer zone” in southern Lebanon
Was it retaliation for his widely-viewed film on Israel’s pager attacks?

The US has fired more interceptors defending Israel than Israel has since October 2023
According to @stephensemler, the US fired an estimated 609 interceptors to defend Israel against responses to its attacks.
The US used the most expensive interceptors in its arsenal for Israel: 31% were the $31 million SM-3 and 62% were the $12 million THAAD. The US spent $11 billion shooting down missiles for Israel from October 2023 through September 2026.
Israel is an absolute strategic liability.
