Look at the beautiful, blue sky on Saturday!
Huge props to the @HeartAssocMN for another AMAZING #TCHeartWalk this year at Target Field! Had a blast talking with so many inspiring folks and hosting with @KelceyFox9 again this year!

Smoke is being drawn down from the upper atmosphere behind the cold front that's sparking a few weak showers today ... expect a variety of smoky conditions, some reduced visibilities, and poor/bad air quality in the Twin Cities this afternoon & evening #ugh
Today's the day that all that smoke comes down to the surface. Check out this smokey @mndotwcentral webcam in Murdock, MN this morning #mnwx

Feel free to caption … Me on-air trying to remain somewhat “professional” while Cody stares at me just off-camera comedically chomping down his oversized donut and making near-silent Cookie Monster like guttural noises … @CodyMatzFox9 @FOX9
WEDNESDAY: MIDWEEK MELLOW!
Almost calm as we warm-up to above average temps this afternoon ... with a string of days in the 60s & 70s through the weekend & into next week! (even as a few shower chances return) @FOX9

Rainfall totals so far with the heaviest in our southern and eastern areas.. up to an inch near Rochester. For the Twin Cities... south metro totals generally a quarter to a half inch... north metro generally a tenth to a quarter inch...

This high/low temperature graph for the Twin Cities this month might be the craziest I've ever seen it. While I usually scoff when people say "we've seen all 4 seasons in a few days" cause it's usually SUPER dramatic... this one I may agree with.
Congrats to @lombocrimson on the 6A MN Coach of the Year award! Although my kids don’t play @Crimsonfootball at MGHS, my daughter HAS had him as a teacher in a class that made a positive impact in her life … so HUGE kudos for the award and a bigger “Thank You” from a dad
Honored to receive the 6A state coach of the year tonight from the @mfca_now … this definitely is a program award that represents our families, coaching staff, community and definitely the players. It’s an honor to be your coach and it truly was a memorable year. #crimsonpride

A lot to unpack from the visible satellite yesterday. Can see the difference in wet soil vs dry... a random fire in WI... heavy snow cover in the Dakotas... elevation changes in that snow pack... interstates & major roads in that snow cover... Lake ice & river ice as well.
TUESDAY: Well, well, well ... it's been exactly 6 months since our last 80 degree day here in the Twin Cities (We were 80 on 10/11/22)... after yesterday's first 70+ day of the season, we're looking to come awfully close to that 80 milestone this afternoon! #SkippingSpring @FOX9
MONDAY: WOW! Enjoy a BEAUTIFUL Monday afternoon in the upper 60s ... & even warmer upper 70s for Tuesday (first of the year!) ... & even warmer low 80s possible by Wednesday!
WEDNESDAY (& beyond ... because I think it's good for our mental health to see a warmer streak ahead!).
Windy with patchy drizzle drying to patchy flurries today as temps fall back below freezing this afternoon ... bright & breezy with chilly 30s tomorrow ... then WOW! @FOX9
TUE/WED "Winter" Issues: Although the Metro will see mostly rain, freezing rain & snow bring icing concerns across Central MN & Northern WI (along with snow), as heavier snow amounts with gusts to 50+ mph bring hazardous travel the farther North & Northwest you go. @FOX9
