When I was a kid there was the “real” news and there was the National Enquirer, which was known and accepted as entertainment. Now, it’s all National Enquirer. All of it. Supposedly Ukraine was attacked by Putin? I’d like to know what’s going on but I don’t check the Enquirer. 🤷🏼♂️

I would be very interested to read the transcripts from when Congress debated the SSA in 1935. My hunch is the dissenting arguments would be hauntingly prophetic. It would be wonderful if a gov’t effort to avoid life’s difficulties could work.

I suppose it’s due to never warning the news anymore, but I sincerely just had the thought, “wait, do we have a military nowadays?” I was serious. Seems I’ve not heard about it in years. I’ve not heard of anyone signing up. Don’t reckon it matters, really - just was wondering.
I don’t disagree. But, I would like to hear @SenTedCruz reconcile his position on COVID with pervasive legislation requiring motorists to wear seatbelts and motorcyclists to wear helmets. It seems those laws are less compelling than COVID laws that affect public health.
