I didn't know we had Ugandans fighting in Russia's war against #Ukraine !
Uganda Embassy Confirms 11 Nationals Dead in Russian Army, 16 Missing. The Ugandan Embassy in Moscow has confirmed the deaths of 11 Ugandans who enlisted in the Russian army, while 16 others are missing and presumed dead, according to an official communication to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In an October 17th, 2026 letter, Uganda’s Head of Mission in Moscow, Ambassador Moses K. Kizige, said the Russian government had provided information on Ugandans believed to be serving in the zone of what Russia calls its “special military operations.” The embassy said the Russian authorities confirmed that 11 Ugandans had died, while another 16 were missing, with their whereabouts unknown. The missing individuals were reportedly considered dead, although their bodies had not been found. “They are also not known to be prisoners of war,” Kizige wrote in the communication addressed to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |#TruthOnTime |#Russia Full Report⤵️ ugandaradionetwork.net/story…

No sir. They deserve nothing. Why would they create a problem, turn around solve it and somehow expect a round of applause!?

They don't deserve any appreciation. None at all. They should be reprimanded for giving the 'development' an ear.

It was already feeble from the start. Uganda currently lacks the diplomatic strategy to pull off such a feat..

You can tell a project is going to be a white elephant just by looking at its location. The locations of both Tanzania’s and Uganda’s stadiums don’t look strategic at all. The areas look deserted, with little to no activity. Talanta Stadium on the other hand is the complete opposite.
Hoima City Stadium in Uganda🇺🇬 makes Talanta Stadium, Kenya 🇰🇪 look like a joke.

Eritreans in the diaspora are planning a $55 million commercial real estate and retail development on a 12-acre piece of land in the Ndeeba suburbof Kampala. It will reportedly include a mall, hotel shops, restaurants and other amenities.
Eritreans in Uganda are building a town called Massawa; it has hotels, restaurants, shops—everything is wonderful. In the dictatorship of Eritrea, it was impossible to build a hotel.😭🇪🇷🇪🇹🥷

If this is true (I say it with cautious optimism) then cabinet and Museveni deserve some appreciation for listening to the pleas of helpless Ugandans. Hope this temporary relief lasts.
JUST IN: The Cabinet has halted a contentious plan to redevelop Constitution Square into a commercial real estate complex, bringing an end to a high-stakes tug-of-war over Kampala’s premier green space and historic landmark. links.monitor.co.ug/zLABfw #MonitorUpdates

Kenya too has declared UDI. The Olara Otunnu UN candidacy at this point is getting more feeble by the day.
JUST IN: Kenya has thrown its weight behind the United Arab Emirates candidate for the UN Secretary General, days after President Ruto met with Abu Dhabi’s top diplomat in Nairobi.

🚨 URGENT UPDATE: Ugandan Nationals Enlisted in the Russian Military 🇺🇬🇷🇺 Official documents released by the Embassy of the Republic of #Uganda in Moscow (dated 17 October 2026) have revealed deeply alarming news regarding Ugandan citizens enlisted in the Russian army within the “Zone of Special Military Operations”. According to information provided to the Embassy by Russian authorities: ▪️ 3 Ugandans have been officially confirmed dead: Bugiri Ronald, Male John, and Ngabirano Francis. ▪️ 16 Ugandans have been reported missing, with their whereabouts unknown: The Embassy notes that these individuals are considered “effectively dead”, although their bodies have not been located and they are not known to be prisoners of war. This group includes Tindyebwa Maxima, Twebaze Darius, Katurebe Alex, and 13 others. ▪️ 5 Ugandans remain in active service: Russian authorities reportedly indicated that these individuals will be discharged upon the expiration of their military contracts. ▪️ 1 individual was reported dismissed from military service: The Embassy further notes that this individual was previously transferred from a military hospital before losing contact with embassy staff. The documents stem from an August 2026 request by the Ugandan Embassy seeking information on 35 Ugandan nationals whose families believed them to be serving in the Russian military. (see post 2/2) Numerous media reports published over recent years have documented allegations that some foreign recruits, including Africans, were initially recruited with promises of civilian employment such as driving, construction, or security work, only to later find themselves deployed into military service. While those allegations have been widely reported, they are not addressed in the embassy documents themselves. The Embassy is urging families attempting to trace relatives believed to be in the conflict zone to provide passport details to assist verification and follow-up efforts. It is also calling for the prompt notification of families of the deceased so that any due benefits can be claimed. This is first and foremost a humanitarian issue. Behind every name on these lists is a family seeking answers, accountability, and, in many cases, closure. The situation deserves serious public attention and continued monitoring. ….. 1/2

After lost decades of corruption, waste, and incompetence, nothing illustrates Uganda’s decline (or even slow-motion-collapse) than the fact that officialdom now sees mainly ONE SOURCE as the answer to all the nation’s economic problems; it’s long-suffering workers’ pile of savings in the National Social Security Fund ( NSSF)! When that too has been eaten, then true hell will break out. We ain’t seen nothing yet.

So, the former deputy Chief of Defence Force, Gen. Elwelu is now a "wanted man", & there is a possibility that Rwandan rebels can sneak into Uganda, kill a person & disappear without trace - because a Ugandan General is arrested by Uganda?! Strange times, but this is Uganda...
Insomnia but, fortunately, Museveni's Son is tweeting serious policy directions for Uganda at this hour when most people are dead asleep! He's just demoted a retired senior army officer from General to private! What a blessing that I get to see the policies within minutes!😆
