Wake Forest 6’11 Freshman Gavin Placide put together a very impressive all around performance in his debut game. Placide finished with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks, while shooting 8/11 from the field. Placide has the potential to be one of the biggest breakout freshmen in college basketball this season, and he had an impressive showing of his defensive versatility, finishing, length, athleticism, creation, motor, and passing feel at 6’11. Placide does a lot of extremely intriguing things on the court at 6’11 that you don’t see often from a High Major Freshman.
