I’m sure they know. They just don’t care. And, currently there is nobody who can change things.

Looks like we need to increase the y axis values by another mile or km if your from outside the USA
Some high-ranking individuals on this planet have no grasp of what is actually unfolding.
Our climate system has only responded by 25% to the impending El Niño, and we know that another eight months of very abrupt temperature increases lie ahead. Maybe even more.
@turkiyecop31
The outcome of the Niño 1+2 values in late 2027 is very uncertain!!

Our moderate climate is in absolute danger.
Not only Thwaites Glacier needs our attention!
We cannot counter this without action from all 196 countries, every single one of them.

A stock photo of wildflowers against the fastest warming ever recorded. I know which one I'd call the evidence, but make of that what you will.
Dear World, dear folks,
Budgetary discussions must urgently shift toward an optimal and decisive climate policy.
Subsidies for the fossil fuel industry must be reduced to zero within three years, and not just in Belgium; the entire world needs to wake up.
@Bart_DeWever
@UNFCCC
The likelihood of permanent El Niño-like conditions is, in fact, steadily increasing.
Europe is the fastest-warming region in the world.
People, we are on the verge of losing this fight.
The data does not lie.
And this is only the beginning.
It's not just an issue of warming. We're losing habitat. In 2027 & 2028, we will experience both flash floods & mega-droughts, 10 times worse than in 2026!
Doing nothing is really not an option.

Do you think that the collapse of the West (and East to a lesser extent) and subsequent albedo effects have an influence on ocean temperatures?
Asking for a friend
Dear friends of the climate,
The Global Mean Sea Surface Temperature anomaly (GMSSTa) is an important indicator!
This is highly alarming!!
Until now, the highest monthly GMSSTa had always occurred in August.
But September 2026 takes it a step further.
@UNFCCC
@turkiyecop31
Moreover, forecasts indicate that Oct & Nov will in all likelihood have a significantly higher GMSSTa!
We must not underestimate this disruption of the Niño 1+2 values.
The Niño 3.4 values are at risk of spiraling out of control.

High tide with warm water, after a Southern Hemisphere Winter.
The lifting of the ice sheet forces water deep inland underneath, and the cantilever effect further breaks up the ice.
It will soon be summer.
Surfs up.

In just six months, we'll be rid of this monstrous El Niño.
However, the step-change our climate system will have undergone by then will very likely be irreversible!!
In other words, we will emerge into 2027 (particularly in the NH) significantly warmer than previously modeled.
