When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West officially started dating in the spring of 2012, after they’d been circling each other for nearly ten years, Kim was still mostly reality-show famous. She was hawking QuickTrim diet pills — the company settled a class-action lawsuit that year for $5 million. Endorsement-wise, she had risen no higher than being the face of Midori, the (neon green, melon flavored) liqueur that hadn’t been popular since the 1980s.
Kanye, on the other hand, was the ultimate cultural alchemist — at the apogee of contemporary multidisciplinary success. In 2011, he headlined Coachella (in a blouse from Celine); he made his official debut as a designer, premiering his DW by Kanye West collection during Paris Fashion Week; and he commissioned Givenchy’s creative director, Riccardo Tisci, to design the cover art for ‘Watch the Throne.’
From his perch as the arbiter of cool, Kanye was captivated by Kim. “I realize that he loves, like, a project, right?” she told writer Jonathan Van Meter. “I think he really fell in love with the idea of me, and the project behind it all. He loves things that maybe aren’t cool and ‘I’m going to make them cool.’ Whether it’s, like, ‘I’m going to stop rapping and do a whole singing album, like 808s.’ And everyone’s like, ‘How could you not rap? It’s blasphemy!’ And then it’s the best album. I think he’s like, ‘Let me be with a reality star. No one respects it. I’m going to show you how cool it is.’ He changed my life. He *absolutely* changed my life.”
She leveled Van Meter with a look that he knew well; by then, he had spent seven years with Kim, having first met her in 2019 and started interviewing her about her life two years later. “Listen,” she said. “It’s a huge part of my story.”
In an excerpt from his new book, ‘Citizen Kim,’ which is out today, Van Meter writes about how Kim’s three marriages — Damon Thomas, Kris Humphries, and Kanye — shaped her into who she is today: nymag.visitlink.me/BNe1O7

Besides being nakedly racist and bigoted, this is just hilariously wrong on all levels.
I mean, Omar Yaghi won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry last year, and he won the Wolf Prize in 2018. And that's just one example.
He also said Arabs don't produce any literature. Last year's winner of the National Book Award was Lebanese writer and painter Rabih Alameddine. The winner in non-fiction? Egyptian-American journalist Omar El Akkad.

He looked calm until he said the parents are the ones slowly dying.
Graham was going on about the hospital visits, how much the kids love Captain Jack, all the pictures.
Depp sat there, then flipped it. He said the visits aren’t a gift he gives them. They’re the gift. He started talking about Great Ormond Street, how he’d already been there as a parent when his daughter was ill.
Called it the darkest time of his life, right around Sweeney Todd. Then he drew the line: the kids are strong. It’s the parents you watch break. He paused after that, like he didn’t mean to say it out loud, before adding that bringing even a small
smile is everything now.
Most celebrities treat those visits like nice press. He talked about them like the only part of the character that still feels real.

John Legend: “My God calls us to love the stranger. Blaming and vilifying our neighbors doesn’t lower the cost of living. It doesn’t improve our schools. It doesn’t help somebody who’s lost their job. We’ve got real problems to solve, real challenges to address. Finding convenient scapegoats won’t solve a single problem. We need leaders who will go to work everyday thinking about you”

Yesterday in Kyiv, rescuers pulled this little dog alive from the rubble.
He’ll wait for the woman who will never open the door again.

According to the book, Kushner got Tillerson fired for a $50 million UAE payment because Tillerson supported Qatar. This panicked Qatar because they realized Kushner was a pay-to-play operative, so they bought Kushner's New York City apartments, which were in the red, hoping this would help.

It’s disappointing to have to say this, but @CBSNews, this is a serious failure of editorial reporting. I clearly state in this clip that while I have not personally been to Cuba, I have spoken with Cubans who have described it as a dictatorship, and I believe them. To claim I declined to answer the question is categorically false. That is not journalism. It is misinformation.

Took Ruby camping and spent twenty minutes calling her name through the woods.
Finally found her inside somebody else’s camper, eating scrambled eggs while an older couple discussed whether she needed a blanket.
Told them she was mine. The woman looked me dead in the eye and said, “Well, she seems hungry.” Got judged as a father by a woman my dog had known for eleven minutes.
Taylor Swift joked that she and Brad Paisley have been "estranged" since the singer put crickets in her tour bus in 2007, but would "let bygones be bygones" after he introduced her during her induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame:
“Brad Paisley, thank you so much for that induction. I’m really surprised to see you here, actually,” she said, “because we’ve been estranged since 2007. I think you know why. Crickets. He took a tour prank too far. Filled my entire tour bus with live crickets. Thousands of them. Oh my God. For months, I couldn’t sleep. Just chirp… chirp… chirp — all night. I considered buying a pet lizard to eradicate the problem. It was a dark time. But you know what? You did such an amazing job with that introduction; I think we can let bygones be bygones. Thank you. Yeah, I think we’re good now.”

Another MAGA “Man of God” Pedophile.
Anyone really shocked anymore?
🚨Richard Channing “Chan” Shealy, 54, a former interim worship pastor and Christian musician in Lexington, South Carolina, has been indicted on nine federal counts for producing, distributing, and possessing child s*xual abuse material.
Federal prosecutors say Shealy produced images of a child on four occasions between 2004 and 2006, later shared CSAM files in February 2026 via a peer-to-peer network with an undercover Homeland Security agent, and possessed additional material on devices at his home. The production counts carry up to 30 years each; distribution and possession up to 20 years each, plus fines.
This follows his March 26, 2026, arrest on 13 state s*xual exploitation charges. After posting bond (with conditions allowing contact only with his own children and barring internet access), he was hit with 20 more state counts on May 1—including two first-degree criminal s*xual conduct with a minor, lewd acts, and additional exploitation charges tied to the same 2004–2006 period involving children ranging from five to eight years old. Bond was denied; he remains jailed.
Shealy’s wife, Beth Shealy, was vice chair of the Lexington One school board (serving ~27,000–28,000 students) at the time of the initial arrest. She resigned March 29, citing family needs. Local reporting noted her social media response framed the alleged child s*x crimes as acts by “Satan.” The couple has minor children, including a daughter with special needs.
Shealy previously led worship, spoke at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes event at a district high school, and produced Christian music portraying himself as a “faithful” follower of the Bible.
Shealy belongs to the Southern Baptist denomination, which emphasizes marriage as between a man and a woman and condemns consensual same-sex relationships as sinful.

I never heard Obama call anyone fat, talk about penises or asses, lie about an election he lost, or threaten to punch a protester. I never watched him turn the presidency into a spectacle of insults & bizarre behavior.
God, I miss having a dignified president who made us proud.

🚨Brad Paisley speech inducting Taylor into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame:
“This is somebody who has conquered the world and done it with songs. All of us were like, 'How is this teenager doing this? How is she so brilliant?' And then she goes off and really put her feelings into something that is 100% hers, writes the Speak Now album all by herself, It's an amazing thing to watch her evolution from somebody who realized this all starts with a song, to take that exact thing and change the world with it."
