My journey began on my 65th birthday in 2019 as I researched weight loss diets once again. I remember holding my head in my hands believing that it would probably be just another fruitless effort and accepting the fact I’d just have to get used to being “fat Leslie” as I’d been slender most of my life. I read information about Keto diets. Thought it all sounded so convoluted having to count macros and track ketones but dug in anyway when I read some comments about Carnivore Way of Eating. I knew right away that it made much more sense. Found my way to YouTube where the 2019 Carnivore Conference was happening. All of the top names presented on their areas of expertise so I had a full education! Jumped in and haven’t looked back. All health issues disappeared. Felt like I was in my 50’s again with changes in body composition, mobility and skin changes. It’s been just miraculous!

I'm actually at a loss for words, and that doesn't happen very often. I've got an enormous amount of respect for this man, and having him put his confidence in me means more than he probably realizes. To everyone coming over, welcome to The Elephant in the Room. I speak my mind, we'll have some laughs, and I'm not afraid to ruffle a few feathers. Please make sure to head over to Mr. Stars new account, @GrowingUpRetro. He's earned a break from the political circus, and I have a feeling we're going to enjoy what comes next. Thank you, brother. Truly. 🇺🇸🐘
As I close this chapter, it's time to pass the torch. If you enjoyed my content, you'll feel right at home with my friend @elephant_23. He's got the same fire, backbone, and willingness to speak his mind. Give him a follow, then drop a 🇺🇸 below so I know you did!

Some of these politicians have been in Washington for 30 years and still campaign like they’re the new guy coming in to clean up the mess. Buddy, you’ve been part of the mess since Clinton was getting blowjobs in the Oval Office.

Here's something I hope you understand. When I close this account tonight at midnight, I'm not walking away from the people who made these last two years worthwhile. I'm walking away from politics. There's a big difference. I'd love to keep our friendship going at @GrowingUpRetro.

I am a citizen who cares about my country. My comments are not directed to the administration, but to Congress. I did show up in DC. At my own expense. I made appointment requests prior. Not a single courtesy of a reply. So I just walked in their offices. 'Do you have an appointment?' 'No, you did not reply to my request.' 'Well, we're busy'. And I'm not? I truly didn't expect much, maybe a follow up to my carefully crafted letters. Nope. Here's what I think. We need to go enmasse to DC. Make them uncomfortable. Make them feel the heat that Americans feel. Remind them they work for us. And if not DC, in their home state offices. Granted, I'm no DC insider. I didn't walk in with a checkbook. But if their staffs can't even manage a thank you letter to a constituent, something is seriously rotten in Denmark. My anger is more that the Trump administration never had a chance. A bunch of egotistical man-babies had no intention of carrying out his directives since he was not in their club. We want to think our representatives care about the country in the same way we do. Or that Trump does. They don't. They care about power. We are not even a blip on their radar until Election Day.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who commented on my post asking for prayers. To those who reached out privately through DMs, offered their phone numbers, shared their emails, or simply told me they were there if I needed someone to talk to, thank you. I don't think you realize how much those gestures meant to me. Social media can be an ugly place sometimes. We argue, disagree, and occasionally forget there's a real human being on the other side of the screen. But you reminded me that there's still an incredible amount of goodness in this world. I'll never forget the kindness you've shown me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Yes, I had waffled between Vance and Rubio, but really thinking Rubio was better. But after his little talk my heart dropped. Vance is out and Rubio is in. I hope Rubio doesn’t do the same thing because loyalty means more to MAGA than trying to distance yourself from the man that made you. Hope he enjoys his life with Tucker.

My thoughts on Vance are simple; he genuinely believed he could negotiate with terrorists. With judgement like that, he doesn't belong anywhere near the White House.

I decided to sleep on JD Vance’s post from yesterday before commenting on it substantively. I have done so, and given it substantial thought. My verdict? Here is what I believe that post actually was saying: “Yeah we lost the election big time. But it’s not my fault, it’s the fault of the guy who made me who I am, and to whom I owe my entire political career. If only everybody had listened to me everything would have been OK. Oh yeah, I’m specifically throwing my boss under the bus, but I am also impliedly throwing Rubio and Hegseth under the bus too because I want to be President. No, I’m not going to talk about the way my lunatic belief that the Iranian mullahs could be reasoned with is really what brought us to this point. I’m also not going to talk about how my hatred of Israel and alliance with fellow Israel-haters and groyper-adjacent loons like Tucker chases away far more voters than it attracts. In other words, I’m not taking responsibility for anything and blaming everybody else. And I’m dropping this literally hours after the election is over so I can set the narrative now before anybody else has a chance to talk that says I’m the good guy, that MAGA is dead, and that I’m the leader of what comes next. No, I did not coordinate this with Trump, I just told him I’m going to do it. And he will say it’s OK because if he does not he’ll get savaged with reports that he has lost control of the Presidency, which was kind of what I wanted. It’s DC. Loyalty does not matter. Vote for me for President.” Does loyalty matter? I believe it does, because if someone is disloyal to the man who made them, they will also be disloyal to the voters who put them into office. My 2c. (And yes, if Vance is the nominee I’ll still vote for him over communist jihadists, but now is the time to debate these kinds of issues inside our own movement.)

🚨 SHOCKING EXPOSÉ: CONGRESS WAS RIGGED! 🚨 “Installed like plumbing fixtures.” Senator Tommy Tuberville just dropped a BOMB: A handful of Congressmen and Senators are sitting in Washington ONLY because of Venezuela and Dominion voting machines. The deck was STACKED against Trump — and it trickled down to steal seats across America. Venezuela did MASSIVE damage to our Republic. Maduro in jail? Time for the FULL TRUTH to come out NOW. These “representatives” weren’t ELECTED — they were INSTALLED. Under your leadership, we lost the Senate majority. As bad as that is, we lost Kansas and we are likely to lose Mississippi — deep red states. To add insult to injury, your lack of action helped to defeat Senator Collins in Maine. Will you — upon looking at the disastrous results from 2026 — nuke the filibuster & pass the hundreds of bills the House has sent to the Senate or will you be remembered as the Senate Majority Leader that squandered a Republican House, Senate, White House, & SCOTUS? History is watching & it will not be kind in 2028. Peacefully.

I love Pete Hegseth. Most people still don’t comprehend the internal fight he has or how completely unbothered he is by the noise from certain rejects of Congress. If there’s a living definition of someone who bleeds red, white, and blue and is MAGA to the core, it’s him. He thrives on challenges, and I know he will make sure America and Trump are protected from enemies both inside and outside the country.

When Glenn Frey died on January 18, 2016, at 67, Bob Seger didn’t reach for a big stage or a rock-anthem send-off. He waited a year, then quietly released a free track called “Glenn Song”—a sparse, reflective ballad written specifically to remember the friend he’d known since they were both young musicians hustling in Detroit’s mid-1960s scene. Long before arenas and platinum records, Seger took the younger Frey under his wing. Frey sang backup on Seger’s early hit “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man,” and the two stayed close even as their paths diverged—Frey co-founding the Eagles, Seger building his own heartland-rock career with songs like “Night Moves” and “Against the Wind.” Their bond showed up in the music too: in 1979, while the Eagles were struggling through the tense sessions for The Long Run, Seger helped finish “Heartache Tonight,” spontaneously coming up with the chorus that turned it into a No. 1 hit. After Frey’s death, Seger sang that same song at the memorial and later at the Kennedy Center Honors. But “Glenn Song,” released on the one-year anniversary, was different—deliberately uncommercial, with no big chorus, just a gentle recollection of the sharp, strong-hearted kid he’d first met in 1966. “It’s obviously not meant to be a hit,” Seger said. “The idea was just to honor his memory.” For a singer whose voice had filled stadiums for decades, the restraint said as much as the lyrics. Sometimes the clearest goodbye is the quiet one. ❤️
