After lost decades of corruption, waste, and incompetence, nothing illustrates Uganda’s decline (or even slow-motion-collapse) than the fact that officialdom now sees mainly ONE SOURCE as the answer to all the nation’s economic problems; it’s long-suffering workers’ pile of savings in the National Social Security Fund ( NSSF)! When that too has been eaten, then true hell will break out. We ain’t seen nothing yet.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived at the 'Let them eat cake' moment. Silence is always an option.

So if it was not contracted in DRC and Uganda is Ebola free, then it happened at the airport. But then again Ebola is not airborne. There are more questions than answers.
Nigerian patient who contracted #Ebola did not have any travel through DRC. “Health officials are now investigating whether she may have crossed paths with a Kenyan man who died from Ebola and had travelled through Uganda's main airport on the same day.”

🟢 The Royals NEVER estranged themselves from PRINCE Andrew. 🟢 The Middletons embrace Uncle Gary Goldsmith and Pippa and Vogue's father-in-law David Matthews. 🟢 Charles never distanced himself from his favourite great-uncle or his notoriously paedophilic inner circle.

By this logic, if I show up to a local food bank, hand someone a bouquet of flowers, and make sure someone takes a selfie, I can officially add 'Working Royal' to my LinkedIn bio. The people actually "WORKING" for charities don't get a Netflix deal for showing up.

The challenge is that his analysis and views are heavily influenced by his real personal pain in the laying off of his dad from Nytl. And we all do well to be sensitive to that. It’s just that you then easily understand why he simply resists the fact that UCB was loss making, unsustainable, with a poor working culture and that the books were propped up by NPART. This obsession with Nationalisation ignores the fact that the concept of Nation states as we know them is under much stress. I myself was surprised by for example how many Burundians are in just Nairobi. There will be over 1M Chinese in Uganda in another 5 years…

On August 22nd, thousands gathered for the Uganda Rowing Beach Sprint Invitational alongside the Buganda Royal Regatta. For TNGS, it was an invitation to Uganda to discover, embrace & nurture the sport. The oars are in the water. The movement has begun #KeepOnMoving #AkiiRowing

This is the level of commentary you chose to go with to celebrate the old man. Just say you hate him too.
The old man with a hat once said this, and he surely meant every word of it. #MzeeAt82

Surely he has lost the plot and his mind at the same time. He can’t tweet and scream his way out the accusations he has made against a grieving mother. If he has evidence, present it and preferably using due process.
Again this post is addressed to those well meaning people who have been duped to sympathize with Best Kemigisa as she tries to desecrate our cultural heritage. Many of you have said this is not the right moment to attack the former queen mother because she is grieving the loss of her son, late King Oyo. Here is my reply on timing. Best Kemigisa has not been grieving her son, she has been scheming to usurp power in our kingdom. Which mother in the midst of grief would have the audacity to invent a non existent child to succeed the throne? Which grieving mother would be calling and lying to the president of the country?? It is now more than two weeks since Oyo died. If he left a son, can she produce the son or at least a photo of him? Even in her own funeral speech at the church service, she made no reference to the existence of that son. Does anyone know of a person who died and the family did not show, or even mention, the existence of their only child? Please!!! On September 9, 2025, Best Kemigisa hosted a baptism party for her grandson, the child of her daughter Ruth Komuntale. She gave a public speech where she said she has one grand child and asked Oyo to find a queen and give him another grand child. One year later, Oyo had produced a 3 year old boy. I attach a story in Daily Monitor of September 11, 2025 referring to this event on this tweet. Where does a grieving mother find the wherewithal to engage in such fraud? And we are asked to give her time to “grieve” when she is using “grief” to hoist her grand nephew onto our throne. We are asked to exercise restraint, to be understanding, to be tolerant, to be quiet, to be respectful as she takes over our kingdom!! NOOOO! When all these schemes were foiled, she refused to release the body from the palace to church. The army intervened to release it. Then she tried to pull another stunt at the royal burial grounds and literally delayed the burial by more than two hours beyond what custom demands. Again it took the army to wrestle the body from her, and this after the president had personally called and pleaded with her to be reasonable. Again we are asked to ignore this, to allow her to “grieve”! So please, don’t falsely accuse Best Kemigisa of grieving. If she did, it was not necessarily grief of losing a son. That was secondary. Her primary grief was loss of power. That is what matters most to her. And it is the reason she has spent most of the time since King Oyo’s death manipulating public opinion by feigning grief to win sympathy and then use this to desecrate our most valued customs and traditions. Batooro have been very accommodating, tolerant, respectful and forgiving of her many transgressions over the years. This is what gave her license to walk over the Royal clan; to exercise impunity, and to disregard our culture. Not anymore!

Jacob never loved Leah as he loved Rachel. Scripture never pretends otherwise. But Leah’s significance was never dependent upon becoming Jacob’s favourite. God saw the woman who was unloved, and through her came Levi and Judah, priesthood and kingship, and the lineage of Christ.
Did you know Jacob was buried with Leah, not Rachel? Not the woman he loved. Not the one he cried for. Not the one he labored fourteen years to have. Leah. In Genesis 49:29–31, when Jacob was about to die, he gave a clear instruction: “Bury me… in the cave… where Abraham and Sarah are… Isaac and Rebekah… and there I buried Leah.” Pause. Rachel was his passion. Leah was his alignment. Rachel was the love story. Leah was the covenant story. Rachel had his emotions. Leah carried the promise. Rachel was buried on the roadside (Genesis 35:19). Leah was laid in the ancestral grave of covenant—the lineage of God’s dealings. And here is the mystery: Leah was the rejected one. The one Jacob didn’t choose. The one he endured, not desired. But heaven chose her. From Leah came Judah. From Judah came Jesus Christ. Let that settle in your spirit— The woman rejected by a man became central to God’s redemptive plan. This is where many people miss it: We are all trying to be “Rachel”— seen, desired, celebrated. But God builds legacy through “Leah seasons”— hidden places, painful processes, quiet obedience. Jacob’s final decision was not emotional— it was spiritual alignment. At the end of his life, he didn’t choose love… he chose covenant. And that is the gospel pattern: God does not build His purposes on human preference. He builds on grace and election. So if you feel overlooked… if you feel like second choice… if life has not chosen you first— hear this clearly: God’s choice overrides man’s rejection. You may not be preferred by people, but you can be positioned by God. And when God positions a man, history is rewritten. Because in God’s hands, the rejected become vessels, the unseen become pillars, and the overlooked become eternal significance. If you are in your Leah season— you are not losing. You are being written into something bigger.

Leah’s story isn’t that the person who rejected you will eventually realise your worth. It is that your worth and your place in God’s purposes were never theirs to determine.
