For this #Bottom10 pollster, seeing UMass go to a bowl game will feel like seeing my kid off to college

The top of the FCS is better than the bottom/middle of the G6. The top of the G6 is better than the bottom/middle of the P4.
But a lot of people don’t like admitting it.

Kenny Klein is the Gold Standard in this profession. He always had the time for anyone in the profession seeking advice or needing assistance. I know the prayers will continue because he is beloved more as a person. Thank you @RealPitino .
Would like to thank so many people for their hopes and prayers regarding Kenny Klein. We all love him so much and our hearts are totally broken. We will know a final outcome in the coming days. It's really a difficult time but we will get through this together. His wife and children thank you so much for your concern.

tip of the cap to Kevin Corrigan and this staff. You lost your top 5 points leaders from last year, your top faceoff man, one of your top midfielders in Jordan Faison, graduated your last Kavanagh and STILL made it back to Championship Monday.

Over the last 30 seasons, there have been two NCAA Tournament (women's or men's) or NBA/WNBA playoff games in which a player recorded at least 20 points, eight rebounds and eight steals.
They were both by Hannah Hidalgo in this year’s NCAA Tournament.

If you have any connection whatsoever to collegiate athletics, you need to read this. Agree or disagree, it's a very open assessment of current financial and governmental realities, through the lens of one P4 institution. Kudos to U of L for going on the record with this.
College Athletics is at a structural inflection point.

The American and Mountain West use CFP ranking as a high tiebreaker after head-to-head, and I seriously think you will see more of these overbloated conferences start to do that.
Replying to @BudElliott3
Ah, so basically if SMU lost Miami kinda screwed because SMU losing drops Miami’s opponent conf win percentage to .4375 which is below Duke’s

Dear young athletes- keep this photo saved to your phone and show the next person who says you have to focus on one sport in HS.
The amount of kids I’ve heard say “I can’t risk getting hurt” or “my coach won’t let me” drives me crazy.
You get one shot to be a HS athlete.

Shoutout @RobStoneONFOX & @CFBONFOX for cutting live to ESPN @CollegeGameDay during Lee Corso’s final headgear pick.
In an industry where networks constantly battle for ratings, media rights & ad money, so classy for Big Noon Kickoff to pay homage to a living legend.

NEW: The story of 88-year-old Tennessee fan Thomas Bailey being priced out of basketball tickets he'd held for decades is tapping into a growing sense that college sports, in the NIL era, are losing a moral compass.

This is not solely directed at Tennessee. Obviously I make my living covering sports, but we’ve damaged the soul of college sports with so many loyal and diehard fans priced out of regularly attending games. No way as a kid could my family of 5 afforded to pay these prices.

West Virginia’s AD says some other ADs are willing to recognize college athletes as employees.
But he’s in favor of a model that allows for something similar to collective bargaining with athletes without them being employees.

In our competitive society, where it seems that only the strong and winners deserve to live, sport also teaches us how to lose. It forces us, in learning the art of losing, to confront our fragility, our limitations and our imperfections. It is through the experience of these limits that we open our hearts to hope. Athletes who never make mistakes, who never lose, do not exist.

Make them employees. Let them unionize. Negotiate a CBA. Have contracts that include buyouts. We are headed there anyway why not just skip to the ending?
