Today is quintidi 25 Nivôse in the year of the Republic CCXXX, celebrating the cat.
I, an epileptologist that mainly does research, did a 12 hour shift in an ICU yesterday to help out due to overcrowding and staffing issues from the surge of covid patients. Please get vaccinated people.
Got on the rig today for the first time in a while, feeling great that I can still do it, only stabbed myself with a pipette once so far #PIpatching. Patching some mossy cells! @gtswanson @Alan_S_Lewis

Compared to childless academic men, since the start of the pandemic, women with children have lost over 500 hours of research time. Even compared to men with children they've lost 150-200 hours of research. As for single parents, I'd dread to see the data.

Not Mueller, not Fauci. There are no saviors. Don't watch and celebrate and hope. Organize.
It’s plain why Trump and his loyalists are losing their patience: The American people are far more interested in hearing from Fauci, wherever he appears, than they are in hearing the administration’s line on how the pandemic is going. bit.ly/2CHrAyU
So happy to be back at Vandy! And a big thanks to @camilleswang for chatting with me, hope to see some MSTPs at Shade Tree in the future
Replying to @camilleswang
@camilleswang sat down with alum @LabNobis to discuss his career path. We love when our alums return to Vanderbilt! Dr. Nobis helped start the Shade Tree Neurology specialty clinic, and now he volunteers as an attending for it! medschool.vanderbilt.edu/mst…
