What the Base Batches is all about and how to get in.
Base Batches is @base flagship accelerator program designed to help builders transform ideas into fundable on-chain businesses.
It offers structured support through mentorship, funding access, and a public Demo Day stage in San Francisco, making it one of the most comprehensive founder programs in the Base ecosystem.
It has three different program tracks you can be part of:
1. Startup Track → This is built for pre-seed teams (pre-product, pre-launch, or having raised under ~$250k).
The top 15 teams will receive a $10k grant and join an 8-week virtual program with dedicated advisors, a mentorship dashboard, and a Builder Hub access.
At Demo Day, a minimum of 3 teams receive a $50k investment from the Base Ecosystem Fund, and all teams are considered by Coinbase Ventures. Applications closed March 9.
2. Student Track → Open globally to undergraduate students, across the globe, allowing multi-university team formation.
The top 5 teams are flown to San Francisco for Demo Day. Applications close April 27.
3. Robotics Track by Virtuals → Focused on builders exploring robotics use cases with billion-dollar potential.
10 shortlisted teams gain access to a state-of-the-art robotics lab in Kuala Lumpur with ~30 Unitree G1 Humanoid units.
Three Demo Day winners at Network School each receive a $50k investment from Virtuals Fund, with the opportunity to present at the Base Batches finals in San Francisco.
This track is operated solely by Virtuals Protocol.
Rules & Requirements Every Product Must Follow to Be Considered
→ Universal Across All Tracks
◇ You must submit an MVP through the official Devfolio portal before your track's deadline
◇ All finalists must be available to present live at Demo Day in San Francisco (late May)
◇ Teams must be genuinely building, as the program is designed for active builders, not just ideators
→ Startup Track Specific
◇ Team must be pre-product, pre-launch, or pre-seed
Must have raised less than ~$250k in total funding
◇ Must complete the full selection process: standard interview, subject matter expert interview, and a 500-word light paper submission
◇ Application deadline: March 9
→ Student Track Specific
◇ All team members must be currently enrolled undergraduate students
◇ Teams may span multiple universities
◇ Application deadline: April 27
→ Robotics Track Specific
◇ Must demonstrate expertise or strong interest in robotics use cases
◇ Technical experience in deploying robotics policies is a major advantage
◇ Application deadline: March 20
Some of you might be wondering if it's compulsory to be building on base already, well you know how we say base is for everyone, we mean it!
It's not compulsory to be building on base right now if you would like to participate.
However, a core requirement of the program is a genuine commitment to launching and scaling your product on @base as part of your participation.
If you're serious about building on-chain and ready to go all-in on Base.

Cohort 3, Week 4 🥳
Cohort members are exploring and learning in quick succession.
Over the past few weeks, our Cohort 3 members have been learning the practical realities of building careers in Web3
We had our lead @Ekoh360 handle a session on Strategic positioning and personal branding in Web3 .
We also had @aguboss_ Co-founder of Web3 Unilag, continue his session on DAOs and Web3 opportunities for creatives in the space.
Last week, we took a break to be a part of the biggest event that happened this December... Lagos Devcon Meetup 2025, in commemoration of DevconnectARG!!! 🔥
📌 Highlights from the Meetup. Our Cohort members:
◽Connected with builders, Idolos and other creatives in the ecosystem.
◽Networked strategically, applying the principles they'd been taught
◽Had a great time listening to the experiences of those who attended DevconnectARG, @efdevcon as they brought fresh perspectives.
"Web3 is still early!... you're not late, you're an early adopter with massive opportunities ahead".
We're back at it this week, with renewed energy as we move further in the cohort!!! 💪🏽
Thank you to all our attendees for showing up with the energy, curiosity, and warmth that makes Lagos Devcon Meetup what it is.
Every conversation, question, laugh, connection, and moment added life to the meetup.
You made the event memorable. 💙
