Same week Binance gets drained for $6B, Grayscale quietly updates its filing for a $TAO ETF.
That's the part people are missing. Institutions don't want to hold coins on an exchange, and this week showed why.
An ETF lets them own AI exposure through a brokerage account, with professional custodians holding the coins.

People’s 401ks could take a serious hit if this bubble bursts. But I’ve come to believe the bigger bubble is in the private markets, not necessarily the public markets.
The real risk comes when companies like SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI go public, potentially bringing their inflated private market valuations into the public markets and exposing ordinary investors to them.
The way Google makes money will look very different in a few years. Crypto should probably be paying attention.
For years, getting discovered online was simple: rank on Google, buy ads, pay influencers and drive traffic to your website.
AI is changing that. People are increasingly turning to AI models and autonomous agents to find information, compare products and make decisions.
Crypto marketing needs to catch up.
We can’t keep relying on paid shills, CT impressions and influencer campaigns as the only way to grow.
Projects need to build products people actually want, create communities that stick around and, most importantly, become discoverable by both AI models and autonomous agents.
The next big shift in crypto marketing won’t just be about getting human attention. It will be about making sure humans and AI agents can find, understand and actually use your product.
The old playbook won’t work forever.
what’s happening with google right now marks the end of the internet as we know it:
- the internet economy runs on search driven ads. pay google, you get customers
- AI is killing this. customers interact with websites via ai now. information is being sourced via models not google search.
problem: ai search isn’t monetized so neither google nor businesses get paid anymore (anthropic and openai do)
result: companies like reddit and amazon just close their doors and the entire ai cycle slows down.
thats why google and reddit are tanking.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but missing a trade is like missing the bus.
You don’t chase it down the road. You don’t panic and jump into the next random opportunity.
You simply wait for the next one.
The market isn’t going anywhere. There will always be another setup.
Protect your capital. Patience is part of trading too. 🎯
At this point, I’m less worried about the market crashing and more worried that some rogue AI agents have started executing their own apocalypse roadmap. 💀
Crypto getting drained, governments going offline, internet cables under threat. Someone check what the AI agents are doing.
Can someone explain why ALL OF THIS is happening at once?
Billions in crypto potentially stolen from the world’s largest exchange.
Polymarket hacked. Millions gone.
South Korea activating emergency cyber defenses.
Japan scrambling after a massive wave of cyberattacks.
Government websites, banks, and critical services being shut down over security vulnerabilities.
Iran openly discussing attacks on the cables that keep the internet connected.
And now governments are telling ordinary people to prepare emergency supplies.
At what point do we stop calling these isolated incidents and start asking what the hell is going on?
Because this is getting TERRIFYING.
I keep rereading the Binance explanation and it still doesn't make sense to me 🤔
Why was that much money sitting in hot wallets in the first place? Where were the withdrawal limits? How does one engineer's laptop end up with permission to move billions? And if no private keys leaked like Binance says, then who signed all those transactions?
I'm not saying it's an inside job, I just have a lot of questions. Really waiting on that post mortem 👀
When FTX collapsed in 2022, Bitcoin dropped over 20%, and the whole market froze.
This week, Binance gets hacked for $6 billion, and Bitcoin barely drops 5%.
Same kind of headline, completely different reaction.
Everyone's talking about how clever the aave move was, but nobody's asking who pays for it
if tether freezes that usdt, the collateral is stuck and useless, the hacker walks off with the eth, and aave has to cover the hole
he outsmarted the system, and someone else is about to get the bill
the binance hacker just did something genius and it should scare you
tether froze $1.5 billion in stolen USDT. circle froze $800 million in USDC. everyone's celebrating like the problem is solved
meanwhile the hacker deposited the stolen USDT on aave, borrowed ETH against it, and walked away. because USDT can be frozen. ETH can't
he's never paying it back. he doesn't need to
tether and circle just proved they can freeze billions in seconds. and the hacker just proved that if you know how defi actually works, none of that matters
the freeze saved some of the money. but the smartest money was already gone before anyone pressed the button
Me opening 47 tabs of charts, 3 Telegram groups and 2 AI agents so I don't have to deal with the fact that my portfolio is down 40% 😭
Binance: drained
Polymarket: drained
Coinbase vendor: leaked
Bithumb: leaked
2 Korean finance firms: leaked
All in 48 hours 💀
Either the hackers got a new AI model early, or North Korea is having its best week ever 😭
New details on how the $6.3 billion Binance hack likely occurred:
According to initial reports, hackers compromised a Binance engineer's laptop, gaining access to internal systems used to authorize withdrawals.
The attackers then:
1. Hijacked a Binance hot wallet using Ethereum's EIP-7702 mechanism
2. Redirected wallet transactions to a malicious smart contract
3. Transferred billions in crypto attacker-controlled wallets
4. Spread the stolen funds across multiple wallets and converted some assets into ETH to avoid freezes
The attack unfolded across multiple blockchains, with most funds drained in ~20 minutes.
~$3 billion of these funds have now been frozen, and Binance says it will cover all unrecovered hacking losses.
The full investigation remains ongoing.
It's confirmed now, and it's around $6 billion. That's 4x the previous record.
The wild part is that $2.7B of it has already been frozen, by Tether and Circle.
So the thing that saved Binance is the exact centralization crypto said it was replacing.
We've got a lot to figure out as an industry.
Biggest crypto hacks of all time:
1. Binance: $2.8B (2026)
2. Bybit: $1.5B (2025)
3. Poly Network: $611M (2021)
4. BNB Chain bridge: $569M (2022)
5. Ronin / Axie: $625M (2022)
6. Coincheck: $534M (2018)
7. Mt. Gox: ~$480M (2014)
If today is confirmed a hack, it would be #1
Here's why most people keep getting extracted, they're not trying to get good, they're trying to get lucky.
One meme trade, one call from a stranger, one 1000x that changes everything.
Meanwhile the people taking their money spent years learning the game, reading charts, sizing positions, cutting losses fast and doing it all again tomorrow.
You can spend 5 years learning a skill that pays you for life, or spend a lifetime chasing the trade that never comes.
Last cycle, $TAO went from around $30 to over $750.
Sounds easy looking back. It wasn't.
There were brutal drops along the way, the kind that make people sell and swear off a coin forever.
The people who made 25x weren't smarter. They just didn't sell.
Volatility is what you pay for the upside.
