I’m in awe of how bad they are playing. First FG of the season at 4 min mark of 1st quarter!

Chris Godwin on his limited role in Bucs’ 1-5 start: “It’s definitely been interesting, different than anything I’ve been through in my career … I’m trying to stick to the process and make sure I’m where I need to be.”

This was so much fun. Whirlwind of all 32 teams with two of the best to ever do it in @greggrosenthal and @JourdanRodrigue
before @JourdanRodrigue and I took off for Paris (!), we hit all 32 teams with the great @LedyardNFLDraft - The Bills are who we thought the Bears would be - How is Dennis Allen doing it? - The Bengals are the Bengals are the Bengals 🎧: landing.podtrac.com/nfldaily 📺: youtu.be/YG7KhfqJWvg?is=Fv5F…

Awesome interception by Evan Williams. We are used to seeing weak safeties take the vertical of 3, but Williams does this while starting at the line of scrimmage

The Falcons have the 3rd highest percentage of pass rushes with just 4 rushers this year, per @SumerSports. Last year with Jeff Ulbrich and Raheem Morris, they were 31st in the NFL in the same category. This year: 44% pressure rate. Last year: 38% pressure rate

They are doing this, admittedly through just 6 games, rushing 4 from a group made up of Cameron Thomas, Gervon Dexter, Samson Ebukam, Brandon Dorlus, Maason Smith and 34-year old recently retired Za'Darius Smith. Crazy. Will be crazier if it sustains.

#Bucs QBs and WRs haven't played well this season, but it's being under-discussed nationally the crimes against football that Zac Robinson is committing every week Talked about it extensively with @JoshQueipo_NFL on latest podcast: jonledyard.substack.com/p/bu…
Bucs' usage of Chris Godwin is puzzling. He's yet to have 50 receiving yards in a game. On Sunday, three catches in first quarter as they build a 10-0 lead, then two targets, no catches in next three quarters. Hasn't had a 20-yard play since Week 2. Limited downfield role.

The play call on 3rd down was duo, which is the Steelers most effective run play this season. Jaylen Warren on duo concepts so far: 35 carries 191 yards 0.88 EPA/rush 51.4% rushing success rate (!) Not McCarthy’s fault that the QB wants to play buddy ball instead.
Maturing is realizing that the play calling here was not the issue.

The funny thing about Ramsey on the Steelers is that he made no sense on last year's team, but Tomlin never really thought about scheme fits. He just got guys he liked. And it didn't go well. But Ramsey fits incredibly well into the current scheme with Patrick Graham, and even though he's limited, he's balled out in that role.
#Steelers Jalen Ramsey has played through a broken wrist the last two weeks. In those two weeks he has 19 total tackles. Has not missed a single tackle with a brace on his wrist. Overall missed tackles rate for the season for Ramsey is down to 5.1%. What a gamer.

This is about play design and Walker more than a bad rep by Max. Hes setting wide to allow the insert to get through. Probably sets a bit too far, but it’s really a great ID by Walker to instantly process the fake and take the unexpected path to the ball. Definitely things to coach up for Max on an atypical play design, but more of an experience/reps issue than anything concerning
Probably the worst rep in pass pro in Max Iheanachor’s young NFL career so far. Don’t get me wrong, Mad Max has generally been very good since taking over & David Walker’s no joke & a severely underrated player for TB, but this was a rough rep for 71. #HereWeGo

The first and third of these are pressures. Second one, nah. The third rep is the really great win at the end of the game that I talked about on the pod I’m the biggest Highsmith advocate out there, but Wirfs won this matchup when you watch the full game.
Against Tristan Wirfs, #Steelers EDGE Alex Highsmith generated 3 pressures That's the most pressures allowed by Wirfs against one player since 2023! Highsmith's power and spin gave the All-Pro some trouble. Been such a fabulous pass-rusher (and player) this year

Going back through the film, I think Jacob Parrish was the best player on the field. Got hosed on a bad DPI call, was suffocating in coverage otherwise and was a monster in run/screen support on the perimeter. Finished as #57 on my big board as a prospect. Buying more stock.

The Steelers should have called timeout at ~35 seconds on the game clock prior to the Bucs 4th down field goal attempt. They ultimately waited until 13 seconds were left which does not make too much sense. If they called timeout at 35 seconds, Aaron Rodgers would have got the ball back with 30 seconds and a timeout with a good chance to win the game in regulation.
