It turns out a work visa doesn't have to take weeks
A Series C unicorn came to @LegalOS recently with a new hire, a start date that couldn't move, and no immigration team of their own. Most people assume that's a recipe for a delayed start.
It wasn't. Our attorneys had the support letter drafted 12 hours after the go-ahead, answered every question within 20 minutes, and had the full package ready to sign in 3 days.
That hire started on day one.

"Laughter is the best exit."
Someone at the comedy night at @ycombinator last night asked what @marketrix_ai does. I said we simulate a million users so you find out what's broken before real people do.
He said "so, fake customers?"
I said "so, a rehearsal."
He said "like standup."
He was right, and I'm still a bit annoyed about it. Comics run material in small rooms for a year before they tape a special. Founders ship to production and call the fallout a learning.
@sahibcantsingh spent the night roasting founders and we all deserved it.
Good night. Thanks @ycombinator, @legalos and @MonacoGTM for putting it together.
Best exit strategy in the room belonged to the guy without a cap table. – at San Francisco, CA

Walked into YC expecting a founder talk, ended up at a stand-up show
Humorous Labs packed the room with founders, skipped the pitch decks, and let @sahibcantsingh cook.
Thanks @legalos for hosting and @MonacoGTM for sponsoring. @ycombinator 🚀

Startups spend tens of thousands of dollars for an event. And I have been to events where still the attendees didn't even know who the host was. No brand building, no new leads. So much money wasted!!!
But not yesterday!!
Attended an awesome standup comedy show by @sahibcantsingh hosted by @legalosai and @MonacoGTM at the @ycombinator office.
During a standup, for an hour, you have undivided attention of the audience. You can start the standup with 5 min about your startup. And then have the standup talk about your startup during his gig.
Post this event, I could see lot of people talking about the hosts, because there were jokes around them. So everyone knew and remembered the hosts this time.
