I mean... I wasnt as bullish as Nik, but it is up 8.24% since this post. Good call out. Respect.
Someone talk me out of putting my ENTIRE net-worth into MCDs??! It's trading at 5 year lows despite: - Revenue up 40% - Operating Income up 70% - 3.3% dividend (50 years of increases 😳) - 46k stores, 95% franchised I freaking LOVE McDonalds but what am I missing?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
McDonald's revenue grew ~16% and operating income ~22% from 2021-2025; the 40%/70% gains reference 2020 pandemic lows instead. stockanalysis.com/stocks/mcd/fin… sec.gov/Archives/edgar… corporate.mcdonalds.com/content/dam/si…

Great use for AI in a blue collar use case. Low friction asset tracking.
using AI to inventory all of our tools …

So... is the internet, like... done for? Turbulent times ahead y'all.
This is serious. I just saw with my very own eyes that even non-technical people can exploit CVEs like PHP2Shell using certain AI models and I am actually frightened. Once you figure it out, it is downright trivial to do. The digital infrastructure of the world is at risk.

Suddenly taken back to like 2015 or 16, I had a laptop start doing some crazy stuff. At the time, I thought maybe a crypto miner. I took it off the internet, removed the battery and stuffed it in a box. I still have it to this day. Kinda curious if I should poke it with claude. Maybe some coins sitting around in there?
While checking for php vulnerabilities on my server I found out it has been running a crypto miner for a year And how is your Thursday?

Some stats on #php2shell. In the 10 hours before it was publicly announced, across the @Cloudflare network we saw thousands of attempts to exploit it. That jumped to tens of thousands in the 45 minutes post announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now.

One of my former employees shared this on Facebook. It gave me goosebumps thinking back on all that we accomplished. Thinking back on how, against all odds- I, who grew up with an incarcerated father, had a part in changing the laws that locked him up, stood up an industry, and built an incredible company of some of the best people I've ever had the honor of serving. I did things I never dreamed were possible for someone like me. I built multi-millon dollar construction projects from the owners side of the table, instead of the engineer's. I hired Doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, HR professionals, security managers... you name it. I grew a company from an idea and a burning desire into a machine with 8 figures of revenue and more than two dozen employees. So much time in the trenches with such a talented group of people taught me more about life, relationships, and purpose than any pther period of my life so far. I will be forever grateful for every experience I gained along the way. That chapter of my life story is closed behind me and the bar for success for the next chapter of my life has been set respectably high. Lets GO!!!

Just picked this up to try to track down a tick noise under the hood of my ICE truck. A problem I wouldn't have if it were CyberTruck. But for now, since I'm hard of hearing and need to rule out AFM failure, this $8 buy will have to serve us.

My son and I are building some random Halloween decorations when he asks me "do adults think farts are funny?" His mom quickly replies, "Farts will always be funny!" Reading this thread of Elon and Yan Lecun making fart jokes around flying cars, I'm sure she gave the right answer.
Replying to @ylecun
I fart in your general direction 💨

Well this is a first for me... I just dropped my debit card down the window crack into the inside of the door. Hmm... to try to dig it out or just cancel it and let it rest in peace in there...

This might catch some heat, but I'm here for it. How it started versus how it ended:

Long overdue but I'm finally setting up my Grok Bot. I'm proud to say the first task it took over for me was managing replies to am OpenAI Support ticket I opened like a week ago. Thanks Elon! Seriously though, this bot looks quite promising.

Definitely think im gonna build this.

Yo, @wesbos thank you again for the idea to mess around with these cheap picture frames. The repo has been a huge help. Especially with all the community support. This certainly wasnt a plug in and 10 minute build, but thats not what I was in this project for. I came to learn and do things first hand. Very fun indeed. Next I'm either thinking about bangin out the UART to Bluetooth path or saying heck all that and just using a $6 ESP 32 and a $6 adc to just take the two speaker wires and broadcast their signal over bluetooth.Bluetooth. Will probably post a couple more things about this project before I wrap it up.
Shout out to @wesbos for the original concept of reverse engineering these super cheap touch screen photo frames that secretly run android. Received by mail today. Less than 10 minute later, I had the case open and the device plugged up to Codex pointed at his repo.

Welp... looks like Im going down the Gemini 4 rabbit hole today. Wish me luck!!!
Today we are rolling out Gemini 4 Argon globally in the Gemini API, to Pro + Ultra in Gemini App, and Ultra subs in Antigravity! Argon is a huge step forward for Gemini, and a labor of love. This model has been battle tested by over 100,000 people at Google over the last month, with so much new innovation, ambition, and hard work baked into this release. The team has been heads down over the last 6 months working to make this possible across the stack (research, infra, safety, eng, etc). We rolled the model out to cyber defenders as part of our fairwind program and early access customers over the last 2 weeks, it has been amazing to see and talk to folks who are now using this model daily. Seeing the models writing capability, raw knowledge and persistence for coding, paired with new features like 1M token output when the model needs to work more has gotten me even more excited about our path ahead. This is just the start of the Gemini 4 era. As you saw with 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 Flash, our iteration speed with Gemini is fast : ) Now with Gemini 4 Argon to work from, I am cannot wait to see the progress continue, and most importantly see what this new model enables for the world. This is such a special moment in the arc of technology, as millions of people everyday tackle problems they could never have thought possible before. Gemini 4 Argon was built to help you tackle the hardest problems. I have personally felt this spark with Argon and hope you do too. Onwards!!
