Here’s founder @4SheilaHancock talking about the need for a centre for actors to.. further their craft…to create new work and also to find company, because acting when you’re out of work is very lonely. And then to discover that’ @7DialsPlayhouse ‘is going to take all that away’

Actors-in or out of gigs-are some of the hardest working people I know. If you are not in a fringe production this year, the approach of the traditional 'August slowdown' can feel stressful as much as restful. Here are some strategies to help navigate 1/5

I may not have my vintage blue tick any more but-as in previous years- if you have a show previewing, going up to #fringe or at one of the smaller fringes, do feel free to tag me in & I'll do my best to amplify for you.

See all those repeats, that's because there is very little TV being made. Dont assume you need to change agent. They are having as bad a time as you are. Its not you. Its everyone. But have faith: people will always watch tv ..so at some point they'll have to make more.

Poor practice is RARE but Actors: for the foreseeable future I’ll make sure my self tape requests are sent as a pdf on my headed paper with clear info on how you can check the request is actually for YOU. Agents: unrequested tapes are not helpful, they don’t promote your client.
