A few years ago, after one of our seminary sessions, a young man walked up to me and said, "I really enjoyed what you shared today about mental health." I thanked him and told him that my goal has always been to help young people understand the importance of protecting their mental well-being and maximizing their peace of mind. Then he said, "There's something that's been troubling me for years." He shared that they had lost their mother in a car accident. Ten years later, his father suffered a stroke that left him unable to walk. The emotional and financial burden became overwhelming. I asked about his relatives and siblings. He explained that his parents had always kept them away from extended family because they believed they couldn't be trusted. He and his two siblings were left to carry the responsibility, but he felt most of the burden had fallen on him while earning very little from his job. After listening carefully, I encouraged him, shared practical ways to manage the situation, and reminded him not to lose hope despite everything he was facing. Yesterday, at our church headquarters, someone called out, "Siezure!" At first, I couldn't remember him because I've met so many people over the years. Then he introduced himself, and everything came back to me. I looked at him and smiled. He had changed completely—healthy, confident, and full of life. He said, "That conversation changed my life. I applied the advice you gave me, and it worked. Today, I'm the branch manager of my company in one of the regions." Hearing those words filled my heart with gratitude. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing someone overcome difficult circumstances and grow into the person they were meant to become. If my words can encourage even one person to keep going, then every conversation is worthwhile. If you've learned something from my page, or if any of my posts have encouraged you, I'd love to hear about it. Feel free to like, share, and tell me how they've impacted you. Your story might encourage someone else to keep going. 🖤🌿

Don't let other people's expectations become the prison you live in. Be authentic, stand by your values, and let those who truly appreciate you stay. Everyone else can keep their box. 🖤🌿

Serious illness doesn't only affect the body,it can also challenge a person's emotional well-being, hope, and sense of identity. For many people living with chronic or life-threatening conditions, each day can feel like an emotional battle as much as a physical one. A kind word, genuine encouragement, or simply being present may seem small, but to someone carrying the weight of illness, those moments can provide strength to keep going. We rarely know what another person is facing. Choose compassion over cruelty, and understanding over judgment. The emotional impact we have on others can be profound, especially during their most vulnerable moments. 🖤🌿

We need to teach our daughters about sex education because the world we're living in is becoming more challenging. Knowledge and awareness can help protect them. 😔🖤🌿

Absolutely. Guarding your mind is an act of self-respect. The voices you allow in can shape your thoughts, emotions, and decisions, so choose them wisely. Awareness is the first step toward breaking unhealthy patterns. 🖤🌿

Depression doesn't always look obvious, and that's why compassion matters. A little understanding can mean more than we realize to someone who's quietly struggling. 🖤🌿

Psychologists suggest that one way to tell how someone feels about you is to make them laugh. The easier they laugh, the more they may like or appreciate you. Do you agree with this, or do you think people laugh for many different reasons? 😄👇🖤🌿

Depression can make it harder to connect with a partner, communicate openly, or experience joy. Over time, those struggles can place real strain on a relationship. 🖤🌿

Having children who don’t constantly overwhelm your mental health can feel like a quiet blessing, but parenting always deserves support, not silence.

Trauma did NOT make you stronger. It traumatized you, broke your heart, dysregulated your nervous system, gave you PTSD, sleepless nights, trust issues, connection difficulty, almost killed you, and stole your will to live. YOU made + make yourself stronger…by surviving.

When you're emotionally distressed, don't carry it alone. Take a walk, spend time with people who genuinely uplift you, eat a nourishing meal, rest if you can, and give yourself space to breathe. Small steps can help, and if the distress feels overwhelming or doesn't ease, reaching out for professional support is a sign of strength. 🖤🌿

Parents, if your child is struggling with anxiety or OCD, please remember this: You are not automatically the cause of their condition. One of the biggest mistakes I see is parents blaming themselves for what their child is experiencing. In reality, many parents are their child's greatest source of comfort, strength, and support. Mental health treatment is not about assigning blame. It's about helping children feel understood, safe, and empowered to navigate difficult thoughts and emotions. When parents, caregivers, and mental health professionals work together, children benefit from consistency, connection, and a greater sense of security. Your patience matters. Your presence matters. Your support matters. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is listen without judgment and remind your child that they are not alone. Healing happens best when children know they have a safe place to land. SEIZURE 🖤🌿

Sometimes, even as a psychotherapist, I approach healing with both wisdom and spiritual insight. I once worked with a client who carried the pain of betrayal for years. The person who hurt her wasn't a stranger,it was her best friend. The betrayal broke her heart, shattered her trust, and deeply affected her mental health. For a long time, she believed she would never recover from it. Together, we walked through the healing process step by step. Over time, she learned that while betrayal can wound you, it doesn't have to define the rest of your life. One lesson I want to share with you today is this: Trust is important, but wisdom is essential. Not everyone should have access to your deepest thoughts, personal struggles, or sensitive information. Healthy relationships require trust, but they also require discernment. Even in Scripture, Judas Iscariot was trusted enough to manage the group's finances, yet he betrayed that trust. The lesson is not to become fearful of people, but to be wise about who has access to the most vulnerable parts of your life. If you've been betrayed, don't let the experience make you bitter. Let it make you wiser. Healing is possible, and your future is bigger than your pain. 🖤🌿

What numbs your pain today may deepen it tomorrow. Alcohol, marijuana, and impulsive sexual behaviors don't heal depression, they often distract from the real work of recovery. Heal the root, not just the symptoms. 🖤🌿

🖤 9 Ways to Feel Unbothered in Life 🌿 As a psychotherapist, I often see how much energy we waste on things that steal our peace. Mastering your inner calm isn't about avoiding life, it's about protecting your mental space. Here are 9 powerful principles that can help you stay grounded and unbothered. 1...NEVER SAY MORE THAN NECESSARY: Silence is power. Not every thought needs a voice. 2... DON'T ALLOW YOUR EMOTION OVERPOWER YOUR INTELLIGENCE: Feel it, but don't let it drive the car. 3...LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS FROM OTHERS: Peace begins when you stop expecting people to be who they aren't. 4...LET YOUR SUCCESS DO THE TALKING: Actions speak louder, focus on building, not broadcasting. 5...10 PEOPLE, 18 DIFFERENT OPINIONS: Stop trying to please everyone. It's exhausting and impossible. 6... REMEMBER YOUR HATERS ARE YOUR FANS: They’re watching because you’re doing something worth noticing. 7... DON'T ASPIRE TO BE PERFECT: Progress over perfection. Embrace your beautifully imperfect self. 8...KNOW YOUR TRUTH: Anchor yourself in what you believe, external noise becomes irrelevant. 9... DON'T BE AFRAID TO SAY“NO”: A strong boundary is self-love in action. Your peace is your responsibility. Guard it fiercely. Which one resonates with you the most? Drop it in the comments 👇 Thank you for reading. Reshare so others can learn and protect their peace too. #MentalHealth #Unbothered #SelfGrowth #Psychotherapy #Boundaries #InnerPeace 🖤🌿 SEIZURE Psychotherapist

(1/3) Family courts must put children’s safety first. ⚖️ We welcome the Government’s investment in the new Child Focused Courts — but speed can’t come at the cost of safety when abuse is raised.
