You don’t understand. MDs are employees yet are not payed hourly but on production. Yet corporate medicine overhead is 75% meaning the MD gets 25% of what insurance pays them. Everyone you mentioned gets paid hourly unless they are company owners. I own my practice. I keep 75%.
What is a Fair Hourly Wage for a Doctor? Salary should be roughly based on Hourly wage or just under to be fair to the Doctor and their children right?
You bring up a great question. The CHEAPEST Lawyer Average Hourly Wage is in West Virginia, $195/hour. Average is $341/hour.
I believe a Doctor who Heals the sick, saves lives(I’ve saved many), and spends 7-10 years of their lives just to have the PRIVILEGE of being a Doctor deserves at LEAST $195/Hour.
But I would like your opinion. Only ONE person has answered this question with an Hourly Wage. Supply a number.

I am not talking of a “non profit” status but of the entire profit motive behind an hospital. Of course doctors and all healthcare workers get compensation but the purpose of the hospital is just to provide a public service, not make money, and all the cost is shouldered by the -
You deserve to be paid fairly, get raises and benefits but people working in Hospitals don’t? Let’s not be Hypocrites.
Imagine if you had to buy Food and Housing through Insurance you got at Work. You could only buy Food at ONE Grocery Store. Your Food Insurance dictates the Prices. You don’t know the PRICE of the Food you buy and you don’t get the Grocery BILL for 6 Months! The Food Insurance Company DICTATES what Food you could buy. Thats Corporate Healthcare.
You are paid with PROFITS. How are Hospital Employees going to get paid without profits? They can’t print money.
Should the Food and Housing Industry be Nonprofit? They are more important than Healthcare. What about Mechanics and Electricians? Have to have those to.
The point you’re trying to make is we have NO Free Market Medical Care like EVERY OTHER of Life’s Necessities.
Congress has Destroyed Free Market Medical Care and created a Monopoly with Corporate Healthcare as the only supplier.
Now people want ONE GIANT Health Insurance Company and Government in charge with Medicare for All and Single Payer?!!! The SAME guys that JUST screwed them over and killed their grandparents.
Because Obamacare worked out so well by DESTROYING the Free Market?! You want to Double Down on Stupid with Medicare for All and Single Payer?! Stupidity of voters has no bounds. They will believe anything from a Corrupt Politician.

No one is coming to help us. Run for your freedom and free yourself.
Direct Specialty Care and Direct Primary Care are saving Healthcare.
Health Insurance is a Contract between the Patient and their Health Insurance Company. It has nothing to do with Doctors.
Begging Health Insurance for payment is for chumps.

I just don’t get it. While people may disagree on how the law is enacted and what it does, it is still the law.
If I don’t agree with my tax return, can I just refuse to pay it and have nothing happen?
If I don’t agree with a speeding ticket, can I just ignore it and have no consequences?
The Technical Assistance released by the federal government explicitly states that even if the insurer disagrees with the outcome and wants to dispute the eligibility of a claim, they MUST pay the amount in arbitration to the physician within 30 days. That’s not an optional component. And yet insurers feel they can be judge and jury and I don’t blame them given that our government refuses to hold them accountable and enforce penalties for nonpayment.
We need the No Surprises Act Enforcement Act at this point and we need CMS/DOL/Treasury to use every lever available to enforce payment. Billion dollar companies shouldn’t be able to choose which laws they want to adhere to and ignore the ones they don’t. The insurers are openly admitting they aren’t paying, asking employers to participate in their scheme, and laughing all the way to the bank as enforcement never occurs.

California set aside $24 billion for homelessness.
California then announced that the entire $24 billion DISAPPEARED.
Finally, it was tracked down.
It turns out that the funds were turned over to an NGO.
Instead of helping the homeless, the funds were used for a mansion in LA, a home in Greece, and a $125,000 vehicle.
All under the watchful eye of Gavin Newsom.
The dude belongs in prison.

Are PBMs targeting independent pharmacies?

To a physician, a note that reads like an inventory is a sign that the writer doesn't understand the patient. To the prospective payment system it is the only kind of note that counts.

Capitalism is Free Market Medical Care and the BEST option we have.
Health Insurance is a Government Mandated monopoly.
Medicare for All is One Health Insurance company in charge of EVERYTHING. If you hate Health Insurance how is it logical or sane that you want ONE SINGLE Health Insurance Company Running the entire Healthcare system?
Stupid is as stupid does.

Look, if you wanted to make healthcare more expensive, you would pay non-profit hospitals to buy competitors and make it harder to build new ones.
The United States Government does both.
Our government rewards acquisitions and restricts new entrants, incumbent hospitals gain bargaining power.
Employers and patients have fewer alternatives, making higher prices easier to sustain.
The average annual premium for employer-sponsored family coverage has reached $28,303.
Employers and employees pay that together, before deductibles and copays.
Medicare encourages consolidation. A hospital acquires an independent physician practice, qualifies it for hospital outpatient billing, and collects higher payments. The physician can remain in the same examination room. The acquisition creates a financial return without requiring better care.
As the system acquires more practices, insurers have fewer alternatives. Rejecting its prices becomes harder when excluding it means excluding much of the care local employees need.
Congress restricts the physicians who could compete with it.
Section 6001 of the Affordable Care Act largely closed the Medicare pathway for new physician-owned hospitals and restricted expansion at existing ones.
An independent surgeon can recruit colleagues, raise capital, and design a better facility. Congress still stands between that investment and the Medicare participation needed to make it viable.
The hospital buying his practice gets a growth opportunity. The physician building a competing hospital gets a federal restriction.
Certificate-of-need laws add another obstacle. Opening or expanding certain facilities requires state permission, and incumbent hospitals use that process to oppose competitors.
The business collecting the money gets to argue that the community has no need for another business offering the same service.
Governors and legislators who preserve those laws protect incumbent hospitals from competition. Employers and families finance that protection, even though it never appears in the state budget.
Many protected institutions also receive substantial public support through tax exemption. With little competitive pressure, scrutiny of that support becomes more important.
State attorneys general oversee charitable organizations, including tax-exempt health systems. Their authority varies, but protecting charitable assets and enforcing charitable obligations are part of the job.
AGs have ignored those responsibilities for too long. Academic medical centers and tax-exempt health systems operate with far too little accountability for the public benefits they receive.
A nonprofit designation does not establish that prices are reasonable, financial assistance is adequate, or acquisitions benefit patients. A hospital’s annual report is no substitute for an attorney general examining its conduct.
Federal oversight has failed, too.
GAO and the Treasury Inspector General have documented weaknesses in how the IRS evaluates hospital community benefits and the standards used to justify tax exemption.
Employers absorb higher costs, charge employees more, reduce benefits, or cut elsewhere. Healthcare consumes money otherwise available for wages, hiring, and investment.
Congress can repeal physician-owned hospital restrictions and expand site-neutral payments. Governors and legislators can repeal certificate-of-need barriers. Attorneys general and federal tax officials can enforce the obligations attached to charitable status and tax exemption.
Premiums would be lower if lawmakers removed the payment advantages and entry restrictions protecting incumbent hospitals.
The bill arrives with an insurance company’s logo. The lawmakers’ names belong on it, too.
Can I watch football now? My team is losing, maybe il keep posting…
BREAKING: The average cost of a family’s annual health insurance premium in the US is up +$1,303 YoY, or +5%, to a record $28,303.
This marks the 4th consecutive annual increase of at least +$1,300.
Over this period, the average annual premium for family coverage has surged +$5,884, or +26%.
To put this into perspective, CPI inflation has risen +13% over the same period, or half as much.
Since 1999, the average health insurance premium for a family has soared +$22,494, or +387%.
This represents an average annual growth rate of +6.1%, well above CPI inflation at +2.6% over the same period.
Health insurance has never been more expensive.

Absolutely in love with practicing medicine again.
Nothing stops this train.

This is the way we were meant to practice medicine.
Period.
What the actual HE!! creates a challenge?! It's only a challenge for Academics. It's an "atypical opioid receptor agonist" for FU$s sake. Put Doctors back in charge.
Kratom is an "atypical opioid receptor agonist, with additional non-opioid effects". People addicted to Kratom have to be sent to Addiction Clinics and be treated like other opioid addicts if they can't taper off. I have yet to have a Kratom Addict in my office be able to taper off.
Yet this Opioid is sold in every Vape Shop on every corner like it was Morphine 100 years ago. I have some old OTC Morphine bottles in my office.
The FDA has failed us for YEARS. As of October 25, 2026, the FDA is headed by Kyle A. Diamantas, J.D., who serves as Acting Commissioner of Food and Drugs. President Trump nominated Dr. Heidi Overtonin August 2026 to become the permanent commissioner, but the FDA still lists Diamantas as acting commissioner.
The FDA regulates kratom products, but federal scheduling decisions under the Controlled Substances Act involve the DEA and HHS as well. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is currently headed by Terrance C. “Terry” Cole, a Senate-confirmed administrator appointed by President Donald Trump.
Are we beginning to see the problem here? People are dying because Doctors are NOT IN CHARGE.

Portsmouth, Virginia is a violent GHETTO. I know because I LIVED in that sh!t hole with my grandparents. It's terrifying!
This is where Louise Louis made her money. Profiting off of POVERTY. She was a MASTER to those ENSLAVED by POVERTY.
Shame on her!!! I hope she burns in hell!!!
Louise Lucas has a new defense: her age.
Virginia's powerful Senate Finance chair says the federal government was "wielded" against an "82-year-old great-grandmother."
Prosecutors allege her enterprise moved more than 100 kilograms of marijuana and pulled in nearly $5 million.
On a wiretap she allegedly called it a shot at "generational wealth."
Her vow: "I will not be intimidated. I will not be bullied. And I will not back down."
Dem Gov. Abigail Spanberger? Complaining about the TIMING.
She's out on her own recognizance and still running Senate Finance.
Where financially supporting Illegal Immigrants and allowing them to steal our vote is considered legal but protecting Israel, a Democracy in a sea of Dictatorships, is protested violently.
