Jesus Christ, there’s a motorbike and a load of cyclists coming round the bend at 50mph but this lunatic couldn’t wait with her camping trolly of shite from the high street.
Can’t believe what happened today at Tour of Britain 🫣
Captured by Barry Robinson, thank you 🙏🏼 #TourofBritain

Going from bad to worse... A matter of weeks ago the stretch of the River Thames at Ham and Kingston designated as a bathing water was reporting E coli levels 6 times over the legal limit, now blue-green algae has appeared.
Short version, stay the hell out of the river.

A prelude of what is to come.
Just you wait until this drought breaks and that inevitable deluge of rain comes and with it million of tons of sh*t getting dumped into our rivers and onto our beaches.
It rained for an hour or so overnight, the first rain we've seen in quite some time.
Yet it was enough for @SouthernWater to release sewage in Hythe, thus rendering their beach unsafe to swim today.

BP - there's a swell of ill-considered pressure for a windfall tax on their recent large profits. Be careful what you wish for? 85% of BP'S profits emanate outside UK, mainly US. BP is looking to sell its North Sea licences. Push BP too hard, it'll head for a Wall Street listing!

I’ve just ordered another reprint of my books because so many of you gorgeous people have bought them, for which I’m always very grateful and blown away by your loveliness. In the last 10 months though, the cost that the printers charge me has gone up 63%. Every aspect of life in this country is becoming cripplingly expensive. Everything I buy goes up at least 20% per annum. The government are so clueless as none have ever had to earn money. They don’t understand that when you increase energy costs, increase staffing costs, increase business rates, increase taxes etc etc etc, then businesses have to charge more and more to their customers. Eventually of course, the price becomes too much, people don’t buy and businesses go bust. But that’s of no relevance to politicians, because they get their salary and their bribes (register of interests) whatever happens. I am not putting the price of my books up for now. There will come a time when I have to, but I’ll just make less. Because I value your incredible support. I’ll just have to buy a few less drinks tonight instead. Cheers 🥂

Today I am remembering Miriam Hyman and the 51 other people murdered in the 7/7 London bombings 21 years ago today. Miriam was a lovely person and a great picture researcher. Her family set up a charity which helps children in India needing eye operations. miriam-hyman.com

Manhunter is 40. As such, one of the most underrated films of Michael Mann’s career is returning to U.S. theaters on July 24 in a new "Final Cut" which features a supervised 4K restoration and updated audio. Ask me if I’ll be there. My answer is an obvious “yes”. Cinema lives.
