Lizard vs InstaBox (@insforge), $10,000 each. Closest race we've run so far
Same small sandbox on both, 2 vCPU / 4 GB with 5 GB disk:
> Lizard $0.0162/h, disk included: 617,284 h
> InstaBox $0.017/h + $0.00055/h disk: 569,801 h
lizard.build/box
InstaBox costs 8% more per hour. On a $10k budget that's 47,483 sandbox hours you don't get, enough to run 16 agents 8 hours a day for a whole year
Both bill per second and both run real VMs with their own kernel, so price is where they split. Pause a Lizard sandbox and compute stops billing

At 10,000 sandboxes @modal $532,224 more every month
10,000 small sandboxes, 8 hours a day, 30 days:
> Lizard $38,880
> Boat $43,200
> @Cloudflare $167,184
> Vercel $264,960
> @e2b $397,440
> Daytona $397,440
> Modal $571,104

Some users asked where is comparison with @boatdotdev. Added it, and scaled the bill to a real agent fleet

That's for 100 sandboxes, not one. $3.89 each for the month. A mini PC fits maybe 4 to 8 of them

yeah, but its not abstract in this case, its about market terms. Hyper competitive markets and hyper monopolisation. That's why it brings strategies like dumping on top. Especially with such labor efficiency growth.

Late stage capitalism market terms🤷♂️

"No pause" isn't a trade-off for agents, it's a missing basic. E2B, Daytona and Modal all keep memory + processes on pause. That's the bar for a sandbox company. You're a VM host with a sandbox label

Guys, you can't even pause a sandbox, only shut it down and boot it again from the disk. your snapshots save files, not the running machine
