Making a (semi) perma-pinned post for the podcast, if you care to listen to a show hosted by a couple of dorks (don't deny it, @TheJoStizzy) about video games and the business thereof:

Life has a way of placing us on paths where the destination is blurry and the road ahead seemingly endless. To make things harder, oftentimes the weight of everything behind us can make each step forward just a little bit more difficult than the last.
When you feel this way, fix your eyes on the horizon and keep moving forward, even if the darkness surrounds you.
It's important to remember that the horizon is simply a boundary that marks the limit of what we can currently see, not the limit of what's actually ahead.
The darkness of the present does not diminish tomorrow's light. No night has ever prevented the dawn from coming.
My advice: just keep moving forward, even when the dark horizon is all you can see.
Eventually, the sun will shine on you.

It would be fine if EA sold their IPs (but I doubt it will happen), but Bioware is dead and deserves to stay dead.

On tomorrow's (!) episode of The Internet's Worst Gaming Podcast:
Bioware is dead! Was it self-inflicted or murder? How much blame should Dragon Age: The Veilguard take? What can fans do moving forward?
Plus, EA isn't the only company closing studios (it's Ubisoft again).
Outside of futurists like Clarke, Asimov and Gibson, sci-fi is rarely about predicting the future, so much as it is saying that no matter the tech or time, humans act the same.
Verne was worried about the trajectory mankind was on, but didn't make his stories allegorical.
Herbert, Heinlein, and Ellison wrote about current-day issues, and set them in fantastical places, but I would hesitate to use the word "criticize."
Perhaps "analyze."
One of the questions we have for this week's recording breaking down #Metropolis is science fiction about predicting the future, or criticizing the present? What do you think? We'll read and discuss the best answer and send you some #ScarifSwag in sticker form.

The "connected universe" thing worked once and stopped working in 2019.
These things *need* to be disconnected for their own storys sake and the audience's sanity.
Do you prefer movies that connect in some way or simpler stand alone films that are one and done? #WhatsTheScuttlebutt

I admit, I have a love-hate relationship with TikTok.
I love the side of TikTok that is about video games, entertainment and pets, but I hate the side that is about medical information and political shit.
Normally, I wouldn’t care, except there are a lot of people turning to TikTok as if it’s “gospel truth”, and that’s potentially dangerous - and basically allows the rapid dissemination of information, both accurate Intel and what could be legitimately considered “misinformation”.

People are still having trouble understanding this isn’t about ideology, it’s just about being thankful.
I just wanted to say thank you for the adventures.
Because of BioWare I was a Jedi, Kung Fu Master, Spectre, Wizard, and so many others.
I just want to say thank you.
(I know you’re probably sick of the song by now)

Moreover, even *IF* EA sells it off, you do NOT want the people who worked at Bioware to be hired somewhere else to do just as bad a job at another studio.
Western AAA gaming will never "heal" if you keep rehiring the same idiots over and over at different studios.
Replying to @LokiJarson
The level of fucking delusion these retards are pushing is palpable.
We need to draw a diagram for these people about how businesses work? No money, no business: BioWare had not been making money in years.
