Heavenly Father, thank you that I woke up this morning. Thank you for the breath that fills my lungs. I didn't earn it. I don't sustain my own heartbeat, I don't keep the sun rising over the fields, and I can't make a single thing grow. You do all of that, and you've been doing it long before I ever thought to say thank you. I confess how often I live like I'm in control. I watch the markets, I run the numbers, I plan the trades, and somewhere along the way I start believing it all rests on me. It doesn't. There is a deep peace in admitting that. You have provided every day of my life, through the good years and the hard ones, and you have never once left me without what I needed. You've been faithful when I was anxious, generous when I was stingy, and present when I was too busy to notice. Jesus, you said that everyone the Father gives you will come to you, and whoever comes to you, you will never cast out. I come. Not with a polished résumé or a clean record, just as I am, and you don't turn me away. That's the ground I'm standing on this morning. Not my performance. Your promise. So I bring my clients to you, Lord. Keep them safe in the cabs of combines and on the roads at dark, with trucks and augers and long hours. Give them clear heads when they're tired. Protect their families while they're in the field. And for every farmer out there this harvest, whether they know you or not, watch over them. Bring them home each night. Let the yields be enough. Let them feel, even for a moment, that someone is holding all of it together, because you are. Thank you that I don't have to carry what was never mine to carry. I rest in you.
