Q : What is the problem with monad right now?
I genuinely think monad has become a closed circlejerk, while new users are barely interested in bringing fresh money into the network.
What is the solution?
it is simple. In the case of monad, the solution is airdrops.
people are talking about airdrops all over the timeline right now, thinking that airdrops are dead [I see opportunities here].
one of the core principles of crypto was always decentralised ownership.
money should be distributed across a broad community rather than concentrated in the hands of a few.
lets take a look at monad's tokenomics, from 100B monad:native total supply:
> 27% allocated to the team.
> 19.7% allocated to investors.
> only 3.3% actually claimed through the initial airdrop.
> 38.5% allocated to ecosystem development.
Almost half the supply is allocated to the team and investors, while the initial airdrop distributed only a small fraction to the community.
in my opinion, that 38.5% ecosystem allocation opens another opportunity for distributing the tokens to broader population of users.
so, in nutshell, next round of monad airdrops can be chain level airdrops distributing monad:native to users, or ecosystem projects launching their own tokens and rewarding people who actually use their products.
and if you really think about it, airdrops are one of the best ways to bring new users into the ecosystem, reward early supporters, attract attention, and distribute ownership.
crypto was never supposed to be about a few people getting rich while everyone else watches from the sidelines.
decentralisation starts with distribution.
Simple as that.
