Since the westbound Bayshore was closed coming into SF, BART determined this was the perfect time to do gardening around San Leandro affecting westbound BART into SF. This meant passengers had to sit parked for 45 minutes, making it a 1 3/4 hour commute.
More dollars to public transportation won't fix incompetence.
I-80 weekend closure causes major Bay Bridge backups and delays

Larry, this proves Rec & Park's total numbers are obviously screwed up.
If they claim Calif accounts for 95.9% of the 486,006 visits over a 12-mth period, then total visits for the year would have been 506,798 (486k/.959).
So, where did Rec & Park's 1.7 million figure come from?
New from me: I've gotten Park and Rec data regarding who uses 'Sunset Dunes' and who doesn't.
It seems the dark green bits of the map below, who went 70+% in favor of closing, represent 35% of the city but only 18% of visits.

Does anyone really believe the public defender's spin that Edwin Adam's ankle monitor batteries were dead?
The Public Defenders' Office runs a fantasy from a an ex- public defender office employee, now writing for the Standard, and then a Chronicle writer forwards it? Talk about an echo chamber.
A man died fleeing San Francisco cops. The police won’t hold a town hall to explain what happened

Same thing at 6pm yesterday. Maybe 7 people on the abandoned highway. Why isn’t Joel Engardio taking photos now?

Maybe 8 people on the Asphalt Park. But at least that anti-car crew ended global warming by closing down this thoroughfare

Chronicle editorial cloaked as article
Hartlaub and I both bike commute. I live in SF, Hartlaub in Alameda.
Yet he is lobbying to impose his beliefs on Sunset residents that live 20 miles away, arguing against a compromise on the Great Highway. Typical arrogant Chronicle virtue signaling

Rinse and repeat. During heatwave, a few dozen on the asphalt, while hundreds on the beach
To get to Rec-a-Park’s 500/hr asphalt #’s, would need thousands per hour to compensate for dead foggy days like today. Or, just count beachgoers as asphalt lovers

A mob of 25 people— part of the 500+ the rec and park counted. Just not seeing any evidence of 500/hr
@SelenaC10705 @LarryQ6
1:35 pm, Saturday 10/10 and about only 10 people on the Great Highway. However, Rec & Park will count 500+ for the hour
