Mass resignations are just another symptom of BC's failing public healthcare system.
- This month, five neurologists are resigning their positions with Interior Health
- Last October, all seven obstetricians and gynecologists at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops resigned
- That same month, four psychiatrists resigned from Vernon Jubilee Hospital
- Seven pediatricians also resigned from Kelowna General Hospital between 2023 and 2025
An independent review published earlier this year described an atmosphere of "reduced trust" and "deteriorating working relations" between physicians and health authority leadership.
Too bad for the doctors: our system makes it so that the local health authority is the only buyer of hospital doctors' labour. A doctor who rejects its terms can't work for a competing hospital; their only option is to quit.
How do we fix this?
There is a middle ground between our failing system and the US's crazy system. It's time for us to level up for everyone's benefit and look to more publicly funded, privately delivered care. In fact, that's how many of our peers do it: Australia, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Everyone will benefit from the more efficient allocation of resources and improved user experience that come with competition and incentive alignment.
We're getting exactly what the system is built for. It's not going to magicaly improve. We need to change the system.
End the government monopoly on healthcare.

The North Shore deserves strong representation in Victoria, and BC needs a change in direction.
I’m proud to support @LynneBlockBC, @TrevorWithersBC, @CarolineElliott and @AylaDumais. They are all excellent candidates and will serve our community and our province well.
Like many of you on the North Shore, I value the importance of representatives who listen, understand local challenges and demand accountability.
Let’s put affordability, public safety, economic opportunity and responsible government first - let's put the fear-mongering and divisiveness of David Eby and the NDP behind us. The North Shore deserves a strong voice in Victoria.
Vote for Change on October 24th!
A look at two recent events in North Vancouver–Seymour: welcoming members of the Iranian community at my campaign office, and joining residents for a community roundtable. I appreciated the chance to connect and hear the perspectives shared at each gathering. #NorthVanSeymour

Northern BC has the resources and the workers to drive BC’s prosperity. But NDP policies have held us back.
From LNG and mining to forestry, it’s time to get projects moving and protect good-paying jobs.
Vote for Strong Leadership for Serious Times. Vote Conservative Oct. 24.

David Eby’s cabinet minister: “no more LNG.” That’s thousands of BC jobs and billions in investment on the line. The NDP showing their true anti-LNG colours.
Only Conservatives will supercharge our economy and make BC an energy superpower.

A NDP volunteer in Surrey, BC, transported about 40 people without ID to a polling station and solicited votes for the NDP directly at the booth.
Join me tomorrow evening for a special meet and greet! I’d love to see you at our campaign office and talk about the future of North Vancouver–Seymour.

We agree! This election is about so much more than election timing.
This election is about David Eby's record of chaos.

It was great to meet with Chris Atchison, President of the BC Construction Association, alongside Bruce Banman to talk about the important role construction plays in North Vancouver–Seymour and across BC.
A strong construction sector supports local jobs, builds the homes and infrastructure our communities need, and contributes to BC’s economy. Thank you, Chris, for taking the time to share your perspective.

David Eby has failed BC families.
Nine years. More than 40 tax hikes. Food prices are up almost 30%. Incomes have gone nowhere.
In a single month, kids made 68,053 visits to BC food banks.
Hockey, swimming, music and camp are out of reach for too many families. Meanwhile, Eby is busy with reckless spending, secret deals and putting himself first.
BC families can't afford David Eby. It's time for serious leadership for serious times.
