“If they don't take this cohort of graduate trainees, who's going to staff the middle management and senior ranks?" The Big Four accountancy firms are “cutting off their nose to spite their faces” as they slash their graduate intake, says @MASieghart.

“I don’t think Nigel Farage has ever made a hard political choice.” It’s easy to “just go for the most populist policy” when Reform has no experience of government, says Mary Ann Sieghart. @MASieghart | @Cod_Rob | @StigAbell | @KateEMcCann

I know a few men who think like this. I would like them all to read 'The Authority Gap' by @MASieghart
Straight white British men are now the most discriminated group in the UK, by a country mile. I see it in Parliament almost every day. Dedicated time for Pride Month. Ministerial portfolios for women. Endless islamophobia debates. World-class virtue signalling, at every turn. Any special mention or thanks for straight white British men? Not a chance. Nobody cares, nobody wants to care. Let’s remember who built Britain - it wasn’t immigration, it was British men. That’s just a fact. Stop trying to erase us. I am so fed up with the constant woke buzzwords. Diversity, inclusion, equity (whatever that means). All designed with one outcome, to discriminate against straight white men. DEI is a cancer at the heart of Britain. It has poisoned the well. This is not some internet phenomenon. All over the country, every day, white men are losing out on jobs/opportunities exactly because of their skin colour or sex. Pure state-endorsed discrimination. I’m just so very bored of it all. We’ve put up with decades of the endless woke bullshit, taking it in silence. I have truly had enough. We should all be done with it. Let’s call it out for what it is, and if people get offended? Oh well. That’s life. It will happen, and it should happen. Get over it. Men can act like men, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Have a few too many beers at the weekend, make some inappropriate jokes with your mates, maybe even have a bet or two. None of this is anything to be ashamed of - of course do it legally and respectfully, but enjoy it. The time really does fly, trust me. Life is far too short. I have reached the absolute end of my tether with the pearl-clutching elite. There is nothing wrong with being white. There is nothing wrong with being straight. There is nothing wrong with being British. We should state those things clearly and unapologetically. If enough of us do that, we will win.

DAY #11 Do you only hang around people you agree with? Or read posts that confirm your beliefs? Lots of people do that, it's either Fox or CNN but not both. And now it's 𝕏 vs the mainstream media. I'm going to suggest this is not wise. Chances are, both sides are telling only part of the truth. Yes, even the mainstream media can sometimes bring a side to stories that 𝕏 won't necessarily recommend in the algorithm. Read both sides, and even further, know when to agree and why. A great example of this was the Elon/Trump online fight. I'm not going to pick a team, and neither should you. It's 2 very strong characters who said things they shouldn't have said, and they both moved on. You don't always have to pick a side, and you don't have to always agree with what your camp decides is right. This realization came when I started reading 'The Authority Gap' by Mary Ann Sieghart. I have to confess, I read that book knowing I disagreed with her (despite the fact she's the expert and a woman, and I'm reading this as a privileged white man). There's nothing wrong with being a privileged white man, actually I'd say you should be proud of it and thankful for it. I'm very happy to be a privileged white man, and at the same time I'm aware that this can create a bias in my worldview. Now taking the privilege away, or being against white men won't solve anything at all. You know what solves things? When both sides try to listen to the other (actually listen, not reloading to shoot them better). I tried that with this book. Guess what? I learned a lot. I actually did, and I strongly recommend this book. I didn't agree with every word, and that's fine. I don't believe the author wrote this book expecting everyone to instantly agree with her. But this book revealed one of my blind spots and I'm grateful for it. I challenge you. Read a book you probably disagree with, and do it with an open mind. Start with this post if you disagree. One thing is for sure, @MASieghart is an expert in her field, and especially men will benefit a lot from reading her book. If you don't do it for yourself, do it for your sister, or your mum, or your wife.
