More matches at the age of 22 than Lionel Messi. 87 Premier League games in a row.
Bukayo Saka’s injury issues should come as no real surprise.
Years of overplaying and poor recruitment - Arsenal are facing the inevitable consequences.

I love Max. I don’t care about the Carabao cup either (rather have fewer fixtures in the new year). I think the challenge on him was unnecessarily heavy and a cuntish move.
But if he wants to play men’s football at his age, he needs to be more mature and that’s what Mikel will be thinking.
You don’t lash out, which is what he did. He kicked into him off the ball and planted his studs into the thigh of the twat who went for him. That HAS to be a red card. No ifs or buts.
The smart play is to either go down holding your legs (and get the opposition player booked) or have a teammate smash him on the ball. Anyone advocating that he’s “standing up for himself” there is just as immature as Max was. Did nothing to help himself or his team.
He’s only 16, yes. But if you want to play for a title challenger at 16 then you need to be wiser than that.

Humiliated but we’ll have fans celebrate the fact we ‘save legs’.
Make the players walk home. One of the worst defeats in our history. Fucking idiots.

It is the first season since 2011-12 Arsenal have not scored a non-penalty set piece goal in the Premier League in their first six games of the season.

As he was coming back from injury, @Arsenal and @SEFutbol midfielder Mikel Merino made it his mission to play in the World Cup.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Life President Ken Friar OBE.
Since our formation in 1886, there have been many inspirational individuals who have driven our club forward, but no one has had an influence on Arsenal Football Club quite like ‘Mr Friar’ and he leaves an extraordinary life of service to the club as his legacy. One that will surely never be matched.
Rest in peace ❤️

City won six titles in seven seasons (unprecedented), won four titles in a row (unprecedented) and won 100 points in a 38 game season (unprecedented). The idea that punishing City is a blow to league competitiveness could not be more separated from reality.
🚨 Joe Cole:
🎙 "If your the establishment, Liverpool, Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea etc.. the other clubs don't have capacity to compete." 😡
"So are we to go another fifty years only seeing Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool winning.. Rules need to be changed so others can compete" 👏

Good. Success doesn't last forever and when we were bad we couldn't fill the stadium. Don't disrupt our success for a few thousand extra seats and pandering to fans who had no interest in us when we were crap.
Arsenal have ruled out a move to significantly expand the Emirates Stadium beyond its current capacity of 60,704.
In 2024, the north London club set up a working group led by the chief executive, Richard Garlick, to examine the possibility of extensive additions to its home stadium.
It has now been decided that the club are committed to ‘continued evolution’ of the Emirates rather than a ‘huge-scale masterplan’. This would mean a focus on improvements on hospitality, retail, visitor facilities and the wider fan matchday experience.

This view that City made the league more competitive is… the opposite of the truth. It’s the most dominant spell ever seen in England:
- 100 and 98 points
- two trebles
- four in a row
None of these things had ever been done before

It’s a good job Man City have always claimed they aren’t state owned then isn’t it? And if they aren’t state owned, why would there be a risk of state vengeance for something that is merely a private man’s hobby? 😃😃😃😃
In 2021, the UK and UAE launched a sovereign investment partnership, with Mubadala the lead investor. The agreement has generated £30bn in investment commitments from the UAE into Britain, overseen by #ManCity chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak.

Etihad threatening to sue. UAE reportedly intimating that UK investment could be pulled. A Prime Minister couching any criticisism. If this sorry saga doesn't convince you that state ownership of football clubs should never be allowed, nothing ever will.

Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.

Can I have some more sponsorship money, your highness?
Errrrm, yes you can, your highness.
Just forget all the legal terminology for a second.
Manchester City are guilty of having owners who just wanted to invest their own money into their own business.
😂😂😂😂😂😂

An independent commission found Manchester City guilty of arranging sham contracts to disguise owner funding as commercial revenues, misstating accounts, and breaching spending limits 2009-2018. The club says the decision contains material errors and is appealing. bbc.com/sport/football… nytimes.com/athletic/76432… manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football…
