As July 2026 draws to a close, here's a highlight from the month: Farm Radio International - Radios Rurales Internationales's Platform 2 project brought together Broadcasters from 12 Partner Radio Stations and District Agricultural Extension Staff from 12 Ecological Zones across Uganda for a hands-on Orientation and Design workshop on producing Mini Drama Plus episodes for the Green Leaf Magazine program. The workshop was officiated by Mr. Joseph Okee, Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) Senior Agricultural Extension Coordinator, who commended the integration of drama into agricultural programming and stressed that gender and youth inclusion strategies are crucial, "as the future lies in the hands of the young generation." He noted that the Platform project feeds directly into MAAIF's Core Vision of a Competitive, Profitable, and Sustainable Agricultural Sector.
