This Mental Health Awareness Week, the theme is Action 💚
Because while awareness matters, real change happens when we take action, for ourselves, for each other, and for our communities.
Every action counts.

We understand how difficult it can be to “TALK” about your stuff. Especially when you’ve never spoken about those things in front of anyone before.
The shame eats away at you.
The stigma that society has created around being vulnerable and showing the world your vulnerability tells you to remain silent.
So the easiest thing to do is just that, stay silent 🤫
To bottle it all up and push everything beneath the surface.
And pretend that everything is ok.
But……….
That never goes to plan and will always make life much more difficult to deal with in the long run.
So our recommendation is to talk and share your thoughts and experiences with others.
That’s why our groups are so effective and helpful.
No judgment, no shame and encouraging connection.
Let’s talk about it !!

If you’re stuck in dark place in your head right now this post is for you 💚

ALT You are not your thoughts, really, you’re not. Read that again, take a breath, let it settle in. We know thoughts can take you to such unkind places, they can tell you you’re worthless, that no one cares, that this pain will never stop and maybe even you’re better off not being here. But thoughts aren’t facts, no matter how loud they get. You are the one hearing them, surviving them every day and that’s no small thing. We know how heavy it can get, and you don’t have to face it alone. Talk to us, we get it. Call free on 116 123. Here whenever you’re ready.

A quick reminder that you can donate to your local food bank in @Waitrose stores this week.
Look out for the collection point in your local branch, and if you see food bank staff or volunteers, feel free to ask what items are needed most.
Thank you for your support 💚

Why should you have to tell firm after firm that you’re vulnerable? Our new @mmhpi campaign is for a ‘tell us once’ service for those with mental (or physical) health conditions, to minimise stress in a crisis.

Another very busy start of the week and we are still currently working awaiting the police to bring in a dog whose owner very sadly had to be taken to a place of safety.
This is what we stand for.
This is why there’s no closing time because vulnerable people can need support and help 24/7 and it’s your donations that enables us to help these people especially in a crisis. 🧡
