THE 15% BAND
Look at this chart.
59 races. Senate and governor.
States ordered from reddest to bluest in 2024.
The solid lines are 2024.
The dashed lines are 2026.
The shaded bands are what moved.
One formula fits all of it:
Republican 2026 = 0.85 × Trump 2024
Democrat 2026 = Harris 2024 + 0.15 × Trump 2024
For every 1,000 Trump points, 850 stayed Republican. 150 landed on the Democratic side.
The numbers:
Senate: Republicans kept ~85% of Trump’s share
Governor: ~86%
Variation explained: 88%
What makes it strange:
It didn’t matter how red the state was. Wyoming, Ohio, Illinois, Massachusetts: same 15% (p = 0.69). The Democratic gain was sized by Trump’s vote, not Harris’s. The Harris part is zero.
The 0.85 beat both standard election-swing models in every set of races.
Drop any single state and the multiplier stays between 0.846 and 0.853.
Why seats flipped:
At 0.85, any state where Trump got under about 58.5% falls below 50%. Texas, Kansas, Iowa, Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina: all under that line. All flipped.
What this means:
Midterms are messy. This one isn’t. Two sets of races, different candidates, different campaigns, and the same 15% decrease almost everywhere.
A pattern this even demands answers at the ballot level: paper ballot hand counts, poll-book check-ins against votes counted, and voter files showing who actually turned out.
The numbers raise the question.
The ballots can answer it.

Minnesota… She’s coming for your guns.
In one of her first acts as governor-elect, Sen. @amyklobuchar affirmed that she will go after Minnesotans' firearms under the guise of "safety."
"The gun safety bill is going to get passed...it certainly should be one of our top priorities."

I worked as an election judge last Tuesday. This was my first time working an election, and I was shocked at how complicated the process is. While most people showed up with their TX driver's license and were registered to vote, a small but significant number of people required special attention... change in address, didn't show up in the system as registered, registered too late to vote, brought in a mail-in ballot and wanted to vote in person instead, brought an ID but not a Texas driver's license, paper got jammed in the ballot machine, didn't speak English... I was on the phone with HQ trying to sort these issues out all day long. Then the process to close the polls is incredibly complicated. Thankfully we had a trainer help us - it is not intuitive. I have new-found respect for the people who do this every election. It is hard work and long hours (5:30am start and I was lucky to get home at 10pm.)
Replying to @GavinSBaker
This also means you have two months to get new permits through for any planned expansions…. Full speed ahead. Get as many done as possible.
♦️Terafab. But the incoming Governor also wanted the emails on Terafab - completely ignoring what the locals want. There WERE local Grimes County hearings and they flat out stated this was a generational opportunity for county.
♦️Negotiated Tax. Negotiated Tax isn’t NO Tax, it reflects that construction is underway and not finished. She also doesn’t understand how taxes are valued on construction and WHY there are negotiated payments during that period. A lithography machine can be 200 Million, but until it is producing product it is just an investment in the town. Without negotiated payments nothing would be built. They can codify that into tax law if they want - but Texas competes with the entire world for these jobs.
♦️SpaceXSI is using Union Electricians at Colossus. They are travelling from all over because Elon Musk pays better than anyone else. But all jobs shouldn’t *have* to be Union. Each contractor should be able to use their normal subs. Many of those will be Union. Maybe most. Expend energy to make sure that *some* Union workers is the standard on the bill.
♦️Furthermore, she still doesn’t understand that new super compute being built uses closed loop liquid cooling - and don’t use water. 20% of the legacy datacenters in Texas use evaporative cooling. The ones they never minded because it helped get packages to them overnight and they could dream of being influencers.

I want to give credit where it’s due. Erin Anderson at Texas Scorecard has been covering educator misconduct in Texas RELIGIOUSLY. Actual cases, investigations, and serious questions about accountability in our schools.
She’s been doing the work, and it deserves attention.
If you genuinely care about protecting children, I encourage you to follow her reporting. These kids deserve people who keep paying attention.
Fired CYPRESS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL coach Jared Barber is now in custody after three NEW charges were filed accusing him of sexually grooming an underage male CCS student who had moved to Georgia.
Barber was picked up Thursday in Louisiana on a fugitive warrant out of Georgia and is being transferred.
NEW charges include first-degree Cruelty to Children, punishable by 5-20 years in prison. DETAILS COMING…

Remember when Texas turned over its complete voter registration database to the Trump administration’s DoJ back on December 23rd, 2025?
Approximately 18.4 million registered voters were included.
The information included voters’ dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, and last four digits of SSN’s

WOW! While I was focused upon getting an audit of MI underway, I just had a chance to review what is reported to have happened in the TX General Election.
DYK
1) The top 9 Republican statewide vote-getters were down-ballot candidates for land commissioner, agriculture commissioner and judges?
2) Suspended Democrat Felon won House District 93
In the immortal words of Vizzini - the self-proclaimed genius in the Princess Bride...."INCONCEIVABLE"

I keep seeing posts about the Texas voter turnout and how the numbers must be skewed because so many areas changed, and people think it’s impossible.
Except, Texans have been sounding the alarm FOR YEARS that we’ve been getting replaced by the millions. Biden brought in 10+ million through Texas alone. Corporations moved in another 5+ million in the last few years as well. And, we can always expect the “birthright citizen” whose illegal parents came here to have children will turn 18 and vote.
Not to mention, there was a 38 point shift in 18-29 year old men to the Democrats this midterm cycle.
Add all that up and you no longer have a deep red conservative state.
Now, compile all that with the massive failure Republicans created and this becomes the final result of the Great Replacement reality.
If we want better results, then we need better candidates that will keep their campaign promises and not pander to corporate or foreign interests over American Citizens.

HOLY CR*P 🚨 Official Election Administration and Voting Comprehensive Report buried all the way on page 193 of the document shows Texas processed 2,900,357 new valid voter registrations between 2022-2024 without proof of citizenship
Documented proof of citizenship like birth certificate, passport and naturalization papers is not required at the time of voter registration in Texas
56.5% of Texas voter registration were classified as “new valid registrations.”
This is extremely suspicious that 55% of Texas voter registrations were “new”
