๐ฅ Just another day at Stennis. Stage 2 successfully completed its first integrated hotfire!
The A2 test stand was originally built in the 60s to support Saturn V Upper Stage testing (S-II). It was later reconfigured to be a single engine test stand for Shuttle Main Engine testing and development.
The last Saturn V Stage test occurred October 30, 1970 on A2. It has been 55 years, 11 months, and 17 days since A2 supported stage testing capability.
As of this morning, it is now 0 days.

The quest to discover the secrets of the universe is a shared endeavor, and not exclusive to the worldโs space agencies. At @NASA we are grateful to partner with and support @ericschmidt and the @relativityspace team, and hope this mission can be a model for future privately funded, philanthropic efforts in space.
๐ซ More missions. More science. More discovery. Today, we're launching the Interplanetary Sciences Program to advance deep space science missions through foundational technologies and payloads.
Proud to partner with @NASA , industry, and academic institutions on a science orbiter mission to Mars in 2028 for philanthropic customer.
What we discover belongs to everyone. All scientific data will be released to the world, fostering open collaboration.

Today marks a bold new chapter for @relativityspace - read below:
Some dreams are so audacious theyโre worth dedicating significant years of your life to.
ย
Nine years ago, we scribbled Relativityโs wild vision on the back of a Starbucks receipt, never imagining how many incredible people would believe, join, invest in us, and work incredibly hard to build this company despite the risks. From first-ever 3D-printed rockets launched into space, to the next-generation reusable Terran R flight hardware now being built, itโs been awe-inspiring and profoundly humbling. Truly, thank you to everyone involved.
ย
Today marks a powerful new chapter as Eric Schmidt @ericschmidt becomes Relativityโs CEO, while also providing substantial financial backing. I know thereโs no one more tenacious or passionate to propel this dream forward. We have been working together to ensure a smooth transition, and Iโll proudly continue to support the team as Co-founder and Board member.
ย
Iโm deeply grateful to be part of creating something that will continue to grow, evolve, and contribute to the future of humanity in space. Onwards!

Sounding a little more like yourself, #Voyager1.
For the first time since November, Voyager 1 is returning useable data about the health and status of its onboard engineering systems. Next step: Enable the spacecraft to begin returning science data again: go.nasa.gov/49PQ6bh

ALT After receiving data about the health and status of Voyager 1 for the first time in five months, members of the Voyager flight team celebrate in a conference room at JPL. About 15 members of the team sit around a long conference room and are shown cheering and clapping upon receiving the good news.

BREAKING: The FTC just banned non-compete agreements.
The Federal Trade Commission has issued a final rule making it illegal for bosses to make workers sign noncompetes in any scenario, and voiding nearly all existing noncompetes.
This is a game changer for American workers.
