Great conversation today on Yahoo Finance
Is the Fed’s 2% target too low for a K-shaped economy? 🤔 "I think they tell the world's 2%, but when they get in the conference room, they kinda wink wink because they know they're gonna break a lot of things if you're gonna get to 2%," @MahoneyGPS says. The numbers Microsoft has to beat And what is their track record for beating estimates? Microsoft has a long streak of beating both revenue and EPS estimates (reports of 13 consecutive revenue beats and 15 EPS beats in recent coverage). The street generally expects another beat this quarter, driven by Azure/AI strength and commercial momentum, though the consumer/Windows side is expected to be a drag. The bigger focus for investors will be forward guidance (especially Q1 FY2027 and any early FY2027 CapEx/outlook commentary) rather than a pure beat/miss on the June quarter numbers. Key watch items include Azure growth sustainability, CapEx trajectory (FY26 was guided near ~$190B), margin trends amid AI investments, and Copilot/AI adoption metrics.
