New @ONS domestic and partner abuse figures show 40% of victims are male. ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationa…
However, given the erasure and lack of narrative about male victims from national organisations, you'd think it was 4%... @CollegeofPolice @npcc @ukhomeoffice @MoJGovUK #Enough

Yesterday we attended a health fair at the @ArmyAirCorps Aviation Centre (AACen) in Middle Wallop, and it was a great opportunity to share with trainees and welfare staff the work we do within our @CovenantTrust funded project.
Thanks to WO2 (QMSI) Nick Curtis for inviting us, Capt Joe Billington, and our friends at @ArmyHIVEinfo, @samaritans, & Yes Mortgage.
To invite us to an event, host or attend training, or find out more about our work, contact @MaybeMaz: [email protected]
A truly awful case of false allegations, economic abuse, coercive control and psychological abuse. Note that none of Dina Williamson's behaviour is described as domestic abuse. Weak sentence as normal. thesun.co.uk/news/40665326/e…
Mark your calendars! #MenYouAreNotAlone

Andy Carroll’s decision to share his experience in his latest book is a powerful and courageous step.
Speaking with both LBC and ITV, our CEO, Duncan Craig OBE, reflected on the significance of Andy’s disclosure and the impact it may have on other male survivors.
When someone in the public eye chooses to speak openly about their experience, it can help others feel less alone, recognise parts of their own story, and see that support is available.
Every male survivor’s journey is personal. No one should ever feel pressured to speak before they’re ready, we encourage people to reach out for support when they need it.

Give it up for Steve whose fundraiser saw him climbing Pen y Fan a whopping five times, raising money for our helpline. 💪
He told us:
“Raising funds for ManKind is my way of making sure another man in need gets that same lifeline when he feels he has nowhere else to turn.”
Our helpline for male victims of domestic abuse is wholly dependent on donations like Steve’s to keep it open.
If you’d like to set up your own fundraiser, you can find out more here: mankind.org.uk/support-us/fu…
We’re delighted to be at the MOD Defence Academy in Shrivenham today.
With 42% of domestic abuse victims being male and men in the military often struggling to disclose abuse due to fear of being perceived as weak or vulnerable, it’s a privilege to share our important work here.
Thank you to Marilyn Selwood (@MaybeMaz), our Service Associate & Armed Forces Project Manager, and to Major James Tiffin for connecting us.
