Today, I decided to go around the streets of Mushin to see if I could get a job. I just want to start something for myself and have a source of income. Most of you here know how long I have been tweeting about getting a job and how important this is to me. It hasn’t been easy out there, but a man has to keep pushing regardless. Today, I decided to check my mail, and that was when I realized I had been given a scholarship to study Digital Marketing through the Sir Dickson & Friends 2026 Tech Scholarship, in partnership with TS Academy. Honestly, this came at a time when I really need an opportunity like this. I have been looking for ways to improve myself and learn something that can open another door for me. The challenge now is that I don’t currently have a job to sort out everything I need for the programme. I am still willing to struggle and pay the application fee because I know how valuable this opportunity could be for me. But there is another major problem, I don’t have a laptop. A laptop is one of the most important things I need to properly learn Digital Marketing, practise what I’m being taught and actually build something from the knowledge I gain. I really don’t want to let this opportunity pass me by simply because I cannot afford a laptop at the moment. This is why I’m putting this out here and asking for help. If anyone has a fairly good laptop they are no longer using, or you can help me get one, I would genuinely appreciate it. It doesn’t have to be brand new or expensive. I just need something that can handle the basic things required for learning and practising Digital Marketing. I’m not asking because I want things handed to me. I have been out there looking for work because I want to be able to stand on my own. I just need someone to help me cross this particular hurdle so I can take advantage of an opportunity that has already come my way. I believe learning this skill can open another door for me, and I’m ready to put in the work. If you can help in any way, please reach out to me.
