Aight so the question is
Is there anyone who’d be willing to take a flier on a washed up, 6’1”, 180lbs, 20 year old third basemen who’s actually playing the best he ever has and can play middle infield and all 3 outfield spots comfortably and is learning 1st and catcher
Please
No they’re acting like they walked off a game in the bottom of the 12 to not get eliminated I promise this is a normal reaction

Lincoln Riley on the Wisconsin game:
“We did some really good things in the run game.”
Reminder: The Trojans had negative 17 rushing yards.
It’s not about him being an NFL QB
Maybe he becomes one but if not it doesn’t matter
If he sucks, we have our own 1st in 2028
Him sucking=better pick
Him playing well=long term QB,(possibly but we could still draft a better option if wanted)
There’s no downside

Leonard is not a pro QB. If he was he would be playing. He is terrible. Why don’t we just bring back Ehlinger, Kelly or Eason. Go after Minshew. These guys aren’t starters in NFL. Delusional to think otherwise. Colts don’t have QB1.
Yes but now they can just resign Q and get the picks for him as well
And Buckner wasn’t even projected to get a 5th per the last report before the trade
But even just going .500 or close is just…we’re in the same spot
Starting the tear down immediately was the best call
Flicking into a win or two and using that as justification to keep trying with the same roster is the reason we’re in this situation to begin with
This season 100% could’ve gone completely different and we could be contenders right now
But we’re not
Let’s not pretend we are
This
The “we should’ve just signed him” argument is fine until you realize we can,(and honestly might), sign him anyway if he hits FA, and then instead of getting nothing, we get picks AND retain him
Trading him is objectively the right call
We traded you 2 1sts and Mitchell for him why would we do Mitchell for him straight up when Mitchell has somehow done less for you than he did for us?
You want him back, it starts with 2 firsts and Mitchell
The Colts pick is not gonna be 1.01 so Smith isn’t going there
Carr arguably isn’t even declaring, but if he does he probably won’t drop to 10
Idk why the Cowboys pick effects how we view a trade that didn’t involve it
Sadiq will be good eventually but the dude has 164 yards
Might the Colts actually gain the Jets the No. 1 overall pick?
This Sauce Gardner deal could be looked back on as Catastrophically bad, if the Jets somehow walk away with
~ Jeremiah Smith, WR (via IND)
~ C.J. Carr, QB (Own Pick)
~ Ellis Robinson IV, CB (via DAL)
😳
Not to mention they got Kenyon Sadiq in the Colts trade.
Sadiq + Smith for Sauce...
I think he’ll go for a 3
KC is desperate for WR so I’d start there with the conversations but due to his age, I bet we get at least a 3rd back straight
WR also has much higher trade value than most positions so I don’t think getting similar value to Nelson is unlikely
They did
He had 2 seasons with Nelson and JT and was historically bad
He then outright lost the QB battle against Jones with Warren added in
Then, when he had a chance to start due to Jones’ injury, he was ALSO injured, messing up his own chance
The Colts traded a 30 year offensive guard in the last year of his contract for the biggest picks return for an OG in history
They then traded a 32 year old defensive tackle in the last year of his contract for a 4th despite being expected to net a 5th if lucky
And…we’re mad?
The…the guy that made the national championship game? Can’t win? He literally did more in college than Peyton did what do you mean he’s not a winner
Replying to @MLJmes @MarcusNewling
Jesus let’s hope not. That dude can’t even win in college with great rosters.
It’s almost like a 30 year old offensive guard and a 32 year old defensive tackle aren’t gonna get the same return as a,(the), 24 year old, top 10 at the position, corner back
Nelson got the biggest return in history for an OG lol
Like this is not hard guys
Yes the ND offense that went to the national championship
With a good OL,(you are severely discounting that an NFL OL is better than a college OL), and a top 5 NFL RB
I’m not saying it should be the goal. I’m saying if he plays that’s the offense to run
Replying to @MarcusNewling
That ND offense that lost to NIU but without the RB & offensive line ?
Really?
Get ready to not be a Colts fan then lol because it’s him, Jones, or Richardson and Richardson could get suspended meaning it’s only him or Jones
Replying to @MarcusNewling
Are you smoking crack, Riley Leonard is not even an NFL caliber QB. I will literally cease being a Colts fan if that kid takes a snap this season.
