To anyone that has a hotel reservation scheduled during lockdown, please just change the date if poss, leave your deposit, rather than cancel outright. This is the most helpful thing you can do for our embattled industry @UKHospKate @kewdad @AngelaHartnett @hmurray9 @Rick_Stein

Am hearing from chefs around the country that customers are cancelling tables. These are not tables booked at times that would cut short their dinner with the 10PM curfew. The Govt’s tactics are frightening people to stay at home. Hospitality is safer than home. Please Eat Out

Is it a “dereliction of duty” for government ministers to refuse to appear, asks @piersmorgan “Yes. That’s pretty disgraceful ... especially at a time like this” @NicolaSturgeon
'I think that's pretty disgraceful.' First Minister of Scotland @NicolaSturgeon tells @piersmorgan and @susannareid100 that 'communicating directly with the public is a real public duty' when she was asked what she thought of the govt's boycott on GMB.

@DominicRaab we are tonight reporting on the dire situation in #Yemen and the heartbreaking impact the #war is having on civilians and children in particular. Come on @skynews and talk about UK’s role? #humanitariancrisis
The situation in #Yemen is the worst it has ever been and at risk of sliding into famine. Today I stressed to counterparts the urgent need for donors to step up and for political progress. The parties must agree to @OSE_Yemen’s proposals gov.uk/government/news/yemen…

No, but as a substantial long-time taxpayer in the UK, I would like some of my money to go on providing a safe home for asylum seekers from war-torn countries.

He was 16. He fled his home country because it was ravaged by war. He couldn't swim & was trying to row a tiny make-shift dinghy with a friend - using shovels for oars. All he wanted was a better life than the hellish one he endured. Now he's dead. So yes, compassion.

Compassion? A migrant from Sudan travels through 7 countries and an ocean and dies trying to cross the Channel to Britain? Why not stay at the 1st safe country? Fucking stupidity

Covid-deniers are a special kind of stupid, aren't they? In just a few weeks, the virus killed more people in the UK than the total number of civilian casualties here during 6yrs of WW2. But apparently it's 'a hoax' or it's been 'exaggerated', or 'it's not as bad as the flu.'

Thank you for your report. I just wished to clarify for Western viewers, the Government is not broke. The Government broke the country. Their corrupt, moral-less ways made them quite comfortable & left the LEBANESE people broken...
