So proud of Meleek Thomas. He did not play for two games but was prepared for when his number was called!! Cleveland won in overtime and Meleek scored 16 points in an overtime win and went 4 of 5 from the three point line!
Two days ago my comment to him was to continue to prepare for games like you are going to play 30 minutes. Obviously he did that tonight, proud of you Meleek!

The basics of basketball are getting lost. Fundamentals are being replaced by highlights.
Too many players would rather take 6 dribbles to create a step-back 3 than use 1–2 dribbles to attack a gap and make the right read.
Everybody wants the highlight. Not enough players want to make the right basketball play.

Awesome to see Kyrie Irving back and still looking just like Kyrie Irving. 24 points against the Pacers tonight with some really nasty buckets. 34 years old and still unguardable at every spot on the floor.

Kevin Garnett GOES IN on Bam Adebayo for not playing like a superstar 😳
“13/15 points ain't no superstar sh*t! I need Bam to be goddamn 25 and 12! I need Bam to give me superstar energy. The tried and down, the cool sh*t, the looking, nah. I need all out. 13-15 points ain't it. 13, 15 points ain't no superstar sh*t. I need Bam to be goddamn 25 and 12! Whose team is this? Is this your team? Did Giannis come to Miami? Nah, this is Giannis team, this is Giannis team together.
Bro, nobody was showing superstar energy other than Giannis. — I'm telling you, man, it's too cool for me. All this, all these players who cool... nah, that cool sh*t ain't it, bro."

The reason why this Dame & Ja duo is going to work because they games are complete opposite AND dame can play offball so well & shoot it so well he doesnt need the ball like that. When its time for Ja to get busy dame can give him space & still catch & shoot with the best of them

The NBA today will spend $2–5M evaluating talent early to avoid a $50–60M mistake later. Guards 6’4” and under are plentiful and REPLACEABLE every single year. Size buys patience; scoring gets attention. ADAPTABILITY, PROFESSIONALISM and IMPACTING WINNING sustain careers.

The 1996 Seattle SuperSonics weren’t just another team Jordan beat in the Finals.
They were ELITE.
64–18.
No. 1 seed in the West.
38–3 at home.
No. 2 defense in the NBA.
No. 2 in SRS.
Gary Payton: DPOY + All-NBA.
Shawn Kemp: All-NBA.
Then came the playoffs:
Swept Hakeem and the defending champion Rockets, 4–0.
Beat the 60-win Stockton/Malone Jazz, 4–3.
Won the Western Conference.
And even after falling behind Chicago 3–0, they fought back to 3–2 before the 72-win Bulls finished them in Game 6.
That wasn’t weak competition.
That was a 64-win powerhouse running into a 72-win dynasty.
There are levels to this.
