So 2028 is when we finally and definitively get rid of the separatism of Quebec when they lose a third referendum and lose it badly?

GUYS IS IT HAPPENING???? Is it gonna be a 0?
My meme is ready for this. The latest 14% by Leger puts my model deep into 0 projected seats. Although I think there's a decent chance there's an electoral cockroach that survives because of local popularity; that kind of stuff is a bit hard to predict. If they really score mid teens then any result 2+ is bullish (or unfortunate for the survivors). The leader herself is likely to be a casualty as well.

For those watching tonight, there are 7 ridings in Québec that will give you an idea of the direction of the results:
Nicolet-Bécancour: If the PCQ leads here, it means the polls are right and a breakthrough outside of the Québec city/Chaudière-Appalaches area is possible and in progress in rural, francophone ridings. If the PQ leads, they are likely headed to a majority.
Jean-Talon + Laurier Dorion + Maurice Richard: If the PLQ leads, they are likely overperforming. This means 40 seats + and a reduced chance of a PQ majority. For Laurier Dorion and Maurice Richard specifically, it means that the QS vote is imploding. For Jean-Talon, if the PQ loses this to the PLQ, this means they are not getting a majority.
Hochelaga-Maisonneuve + Jean-Lesage: If the PQ leads here, it means that the PQ is overperforming or that QS is underperforming. PQ majority becomes more likely.
Borduas: If the CAQ will show ANY sign of life (more than 0 seats), it will likely start here. Each seat the CAQ wins makes a PQ minority more likely.
The only way the PQ avoids a majority, is if all other parties contribute to snatching away a few seats here and there.

Kalshi’s temperature markets beat the strongest individual public weather forecast in six of seven US cities, according to a new study.
Researcher Alexander Crosier compared forecasts drawn from market prices with public weather models across 7,590 city-days.
One hour into trading, the market’s forecast error was about 10% lower than the National Blend of Models. Its lead continued overnight into the day it was predicting.
Traders could already read those public forecasts. The finding suggests prices were adding information beyond what any single forecast offered.
That makes weather markets worth watching even without placing a bet.
The September 21 preprint covers data through August 12. In the chart, lower error means a better forecast: purple is Kalshi, green is the public model.

These Quebec polling numbers are just insane. Why? Three reasons.
1. There are currently five parties with 10 per cent of the vote or more. That has only happened in two elections in Canada's history: the previous Quebec election, in 2022, and the 1997 federal election. Indeed, it's rare in any first past the post electoral system. It's never happened in the UK, Australia or New Zealand, for instance.
2. The two previous Canadian elections where this was the case, however, had a clear frontrunner. The CAQ led by 25 points in 2022, with 41 per cent of the vote. The Chretien Liberals won by 19 points in 1997 with 38.5 per cent of the vote. The Parti Québécois, by contrast, is on track to win with 29 per cent of the vote, just 7 points ahead of the Liberals and CAQ, who are essentially tied. There has never been an election in Canadian history where a party led the popular vote with less than 30 per cent of the vote. Again, there's never been an election in the UK, Australia or New Zealand where that was true, either.
3. But even that's not the most amazing part. The most amazing part is that the PQ, with just 29 per cent of the vote, is on the cusp of a majority, with a projected 62 seats out of the 64 required. Think of that. The country might be plunged into another separation referendum by the votes of fewer than 30 per cent of the electorate in a province with just 22 per cent of the population. Insane.

I must be among an extremely small group of people (n=1?) that have both 1) trained a frontier LLM and 2) designed and synthesized custom viruses in a lab with my own two hands.
And I think that the takes on AI killing us all by creating dangerous viruses is total bogus.
90% of Prediction Market weather posts are complete bullshit with fake comments. Here are the top BS post topics. 👇
1. People don't open source their winning strategies or bots on GitHub.
2. Nobody is selling you reliable winning picks for less than they could make using them. They buy them first, then they let you drive the price up - YOU are the exit liquidity.
3. Claude and Astra will not create you a profitable weather trading strategy without lots of work, input and creative thinking from you.
There are tons of ways to profit in weather trading, but like anything else with great potential, you will need to outwork your opponents.
Our goal is to give you the tools and data you need to create your own edge, which is the only real way to create long-term, reliable success.

Never bet against a dairy farmer in politics.
Daniel Gobeil, president of the Quebec Dairy Producers, won the Chicoutimi–Le Fjord seat as the Liberal candidate, and it wasn’t even close.
En une semaine, la CAQ est passée de 13% de chances de gagner l'élection québécoise à 31%.

Weather traders once again dominated the overall leaderboards, occupying 6 of the top 10
But we also saw politics, sports, and box office traders on the final leaderboard

Day 3 of the @HiveLiveHQ World Cup Week 2 saw plenty of volatility. On the one hand we have @Mask4che who managed to quadruple their bankroll and get the best trade of the day title.
On the other hand we have @Fuentes31198351 who after winning their group in Week 1, have proceeded to erase their entire bankroll in just a couple of trades.
In such a competitive environment traders need to take a lot of risk. The winner will not only have some luck, but also great judgement. Who do you think has it in them?
