Here's an idea for the UK: maintain a national, optional, parent-activated block list, and if parents want to activate it, they can do so and their ISPs won't serve those domains.
No need for Ofcom or the bureaucracy if you do that.
Oh, it's not supposed to be optional?

For those not aware this is the Prime Minister of Slovenia - an EU member state - calling out the undemocratic and frankly dictatorial actions of the EU.
He ends by saying EU member states need to save themselves, from the EU itself.
So of course Andy Burden talks of rejoining.
Ko smo se odločali za vstop v EU, si ni nihče predstavljal, da bo v kaki njeni članici in uniji nasploh mogoče brez posledic:
1. Razveljaviti predsedniške volitve (Romunija);
2. Ukiniti informativni program na nacionalni RTV (Madžarska);
3. Poslati policijo na Ustavno sodišče (Poljska);
4. Tri tedne pred volitvami poslati v zapor predsednika stranke, ki vodi v anketah (Slovenija);
5. Zasesti nacionalno RTV s policijo in zamenjati vodstvo (Poljska);
6. Prekiniti mandate vodstvu nacionalne RTV in izvesti čistko zaposlenih (Slovenija);
7. Poslati v zapor člane prejšnje vlade brez možnosti obrambe (Madžarska);
8. Podeliti skoraj milijon državljanstev ilegalnim migrantom po hitrem postopku (Španija);
9. Zapreti novo Nuklearno elektrarno in zgraditi plinovod do Rusije (Nemčija);

Traveling in the EU makes me remember the great freedoms the UK has reclaimed with Brexit.
Like that annoying EU cookie pop-up requirement. The UK is now free to abolish it and reclaim billions of unnecessary mouse clicks every year.
Of course, we haven’t actually removed it. But I sleep soundly in the knowledge that we could do so if we liked.
That’s real freedom.

You need to consider this very carefully.
This sort of occurrence is possible in Saudi Arabia, as a majority of people share a culture which supports this behaviour.
You need to consider whether or not the UK should allow mass migration from cultures who share this belief.

You should be able to say politicians look like rent boys without being literally arrested.
It it completely baffling to me how Labour politicians continue to claim there is free speech in Britain. There is none.
We have insane speech restrictions that look more at home in the People's Republic of China than the birthplace of the enlightenment.

Every game ever put on a cartridge, disc, or download will get decompiled, modded, and ported with AI.
If one dev and four Claude agents can decompile most of CoD MW2 (2009) in under a month, and Halo Combat Evolved (2001) is already running on browsers, phones, Macs, and Nintendo 3DS days after its decomp, AAA teams should be a bit scared. Fans won’t need to wait for remasters anymore.
Studios can and will send DMCAs, but they won't outpace the frontier models being shipped.
Open source gaming is here.
Ready Player One's closer than we think.

The original sin of Brexit was not allowing Vote Leave to own the project after victory.
In wrestling power from the people who won the referendum, insane internal machinations within the Parliamentary Conservative Party prevented those who campaigned for the outcome from delivering that outcome.
From the start the whole project was decapitated.
And so here we are now, ten years on, having repealed precious little EU law, pursuing no supply side reform, indeed still building a £125m bat tunnel in order that HS2 abide by the retained EU Habitats Directive.
For the best part of a decade the political class stole the victory from the people.
And now they have the temerity to say their own failure is actually the fault of the people for wanting an independent country.

You don’t have to be a fan of Rupert Lowe or Restore to accept that this is clearly very wrong. If right wing ‘activists’ were doing this to Labour or Lib Dem candidates we’d never hear the end of it.
This is what our Restore Britain campaigning team was met with today in Holborn and St Pancras, more footage coming in. @YoungBobRB captured this.
Whatever your political stance on migration, it is difficult to contest this point. The penalty is entirely disproportionate and reinforces the reality of a two-tier justice system in the UK.
The monster on the left is illegal migrant Hadush Kebatu. He broke into our country on a small boat and after only 8 DAYS he sexually assaulted a 14yr-old girl and a woman.
He was sentenced to 12 months.
The man on the right is father of 2, Del Somerville. He threw a plastic bottle and swore at police.
He was sentenced to TWO YEARS.
Disgusting two-tier justice.

The very same people that voted Lib Dem’s.
As I have said for years, it’s amazing how the do gooders change their opinion when it affects them.

We have a Prime Minister that thinks national defence, keeping the whole nation alive and safe, is less important than your PIP payment for anxiety or headaches.
Labour thought Burnham was the Great White Hope - turns out he's just another useless feckless worthless scrote.

Literally anyone with a fraction of a brain could have predicted that abuse of this hugely valuable alarm system would devalue it to the point where it is useless. Anyone, that is, except the actual government.

When the Severe Alert system was established in 2024 it was made clear that:
“There will be a very high threshold for its use based on strict criteria centred on an immediate risk to life.”
Tonight’s use at a national level clearly doesn’t hit that threshold and opens the door to future misuse of the system.
Labour needs to publish who signed off the decision to use the alert and the criteria that they were using.

This is absurd. Palantir tech saves lives.
If the NHS can’t interpret its own data well it will continue to deliver substandard care.
In Florida, Palantir software has more than halved sepsis deaths. Down 68%. It spots trends early that humans can’t. Abandoning that for ideological reasons is *insane*.
🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham is set to ban Palantir from the NHS if he becomes Prime Minister
