If I had a dollar for every time I heard a progressive Christian say this, I’d be rich!
We hear this all the time, but what does the Bible say?
”You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?“
Romans 2:1-3 NIV
Wait a second.
Don’t judge IF you are doing the same things? So don’t be a hypocritical liar? THAT is the real message?
Yep.
So guess what: if you’re not having gay sex, you may certain condemn society’s acceptance of it. If you’re not accepting bribes or stealing money, you may certainly call out politicians who do.
Just be aware that that opposite is true.
If you yell at Onlyfans girls and e thots while watching porn, this verse nails you to the wall. If you spread gossip online but get angry when it’s done to you? Ouch. If you hate corruption in DC but happily accept unauthorized gifts that influence your work decisions? Gotcha.
There is nothing wrong with calling sin what it really is. But we must free ourselves from our own sin before we call out the same thing. We can’t be hypocritical and if we are, the judgment is worse!

What is the significance of the land of Israel, both in the Old Testament and today? We can summarize it in three statements.
One, in the Old Testament, the land of Israel was the replacement of the land of Eden, as the Israelites were the replacement of the priestly and regal couple, Adam and Eve. The prophets often liken the promised land to Eden or the garden. And Israel is called to be a kingdom of priests (royal priesthood) as Adam and Eve were the first priests, as well as king and queen, in Eden.
Two, the land of Israel, as the new Eden, awaited a cosmic expansion, which would come to pass when God sent the Messianic King, the Son of David, who would rule over the ends of the earth. All peoples would be subject to him. His kingdom would be that "Stone" in Daniel 2:35, which would become a great mountain and fill the whole earth. In other words, Israel's borders were to encompass the whole world under the Messiah.
Three, this promise has come to pass in Jesus the Messiah, the last Adam, the true and faithful Israelite. He told the woman in Samaria that the time was coming when neither her mountain, nor the mountain in Jerusalem, would be the geographically confined worship place of believers. Instead, they would worship in Spirit and Truth (John 4:21-24). That time is now, the New Testament era. Jesus told his disciples to take the message of the kingdom to “all nations,” the four corners of the earth. Wherever the good news of the reign of Christ, his kingdom, is preached, THERE IS THE PROMISED LAND. Israel and Eden and the promised land are the kingdom of Christ the Messiah. Israel the land is a worldwide place, for the church is worldwide.
What we await, in hope, is the new heavens and new earth, where this reality will become not only visible but our everlasting habitation. For now, we rest in the promise that, in Christ, we dwell in his kingdom, that is, in the true land of Israel.
That is the biblical, theological, and messianic significance of Eretz Yisrael, the land of Israel. It is no longer a geographically confined state but a worldwide kingdom, without borders.

Losing over 40% of their goals with Kane leaving. Who is going to score those goals in his place. I think Spurs may be in big trouble this season. #PremierLeague

You’ve probably heard the quote, “Preach the Gospel, if necessary, use words.”
I cringe when I hear it. The Apostle Paul wouldn’t have liked it either.
I changed it to, “Preach the Gospel. It’s necessary. Use words.”
When it comes to the Gospel we must live it AND give it. – at Arvada, CO
